Good EC’s wouldn’t say extraordinary
Trusting that I had excellent rec letters
I think my essay was really insightful and I thought my supplement was awesome and expressed a desire to go to BU

Does it matter that the major I listed as my first choice is no longer my first choice? Should I tell them I’ve changed my mind and want to major in something else, or does it not matter? (both majors are in the college I was accepted to).

Accepted into the School of Education.
SAT 2040
GPA 3.92 W

Great EC’s-- most show that I want to be a teacher (tutoring, babysitting, etc) And stellar teacher recommendations. My counselor rec was joint with the vice principal of my school
Eh essay.

Hi everyone! I received my acceptance to BU and I couldn’t be more thrilled! Unfortunately I received very little aid so the chances of me being able to attend are currently very slim. I was accepted into the CGS, but I know that I want to major in deaf studies, which is part of the SED. Does anyone know if I can switch schools now? I just want to be involved in my field right away…thanks!

@preamble1776 a lot of people applied but i feel like people with low-ish stats got in…hopefullly that gives me hope i can get in nxt year

Accepted to CAS, but I think I might switch. I’ll just see how good/bad I do at CAS first.

My S: Accepted!!! College of Engg., Hilachand Kilachand Honors college, premed advisory. Some Grant Aid. Surprisingly, we never got an email or call. Just found out by checking the BULink. Will fill out the decision details later.

Does BU match aid? My S has aid from other top-ranked schools.

^^No they do not.

OMG Boston U had a 7% acceptance rate this year… that’s why it was so hard to get in. Congrats to all of you who got accepted!

For everyone asking about changing majors and schools, it’s easy to do so unless you were accepted into CGS. CGS is usually a set program and you’re stuck there for the first two years.

In terms of aid and having BU match other school’s aid, you should appeal and mention that other schools offered you more NEED based aid (this does not apply with merit)

Congrats to everyone who was accepted! If you guys have any questions, drop me a message! I’m a current freshman in the college of engineering btw.

I will be choosing Northeastern over BU but I do find it peculiar I got 10k merit aid from NEU and none from BU. Oh well, I will be declining admission once I get rejected from my final reach school and enroll at NEU. Hope that clears up a spot for someone who wants it more Congrats everyone!
