Official BU Class of 2018 Regular Decision Thread

<p>If I do get into BU - I won’t be attending (99% sure) - so good news for those of you who might be wait listed. :)</p>

<p>Literally anywhere that is cheaper than BU. I’ve received three full ride scholarships to other schools. </p>

<p>@goldendoor - URM status will help you. First-generation student won’t really serve you much - BU doesn’t care about that. Class rank isn’t a hook. It is a statistic. </p>

I’m not sure if it helps, since my school is small and doesn’t offer much, but I’ve taken extra english and math courses.
I’ve been in band 4years, first chair trumpet soloist, multiple soloist awards, performed in the midsouth honor band, was drum major and Band president
I founded my school’s art club, and I was voted as president.
I’ve been class president 2x, until they did away with the council 10th grade year
I was a part of Daughters Without Fathers club for one year. </p>

<p>I know that I have excellent recommendations. I also have confidence in my essay and personal statement. My GPA is pretty low though…</p>

<p>4.31 weighted GPA. No idea what my unweighted GPA is but I’ve never gotten below a B on my report card ever and my average is around an A-.

My teacher that wrote my recommendation said that he respects me a lot so I’m sure my rec was very strong.
