Official Bucknell Class of 2023!

Also I would greatly appreciate it if anyone gets invited for merit scholarships, especially the Presidential Fellows, please share it on here. The website said we will hear by mid February to apply.

Just a quick congratulations to you all! I’m a Bucknell alum (class of 1989 business/accounting major - ancient!) and proud of it! It was a wonderful four years spent in the Bucknell Bubble as it’s truly a very special place. I’m sad that my dd, who is a senior this year, will not become a Bison as she is going to be studying nursing :frowning:

I wish you all the best as you begin your time at one of the best schools ever! Enjoy & appreciate your collegiate years and 'RAY FOR THE ORANGE AND THE BLUE!

Applied regular decision but feel with ED1 and ED2 available, I am at distinct disadvant
age. If I were the school, I’d fill most of my freshmen spots from those 2 pools. :frowning: Am I wrong?

When will RD admission be released?

@LCBwhy - in past 2 years the RD results came out at 9pm on a Tuesday: 3/28/17 & 3/27/18

Getting closer by the day - Can’t wait much longer

did anyone receive an email asking to withdraw their applications if they’re no longer interested in bucknell?

Yep, received email.

@RJA I am a freshman engineering major at Bucknell. I had planned to apply to Bucknell in the RD round, but I decided to apply ED2 (with a 1540 SAT and very high math/science subject test scores) after my high school guidance counselor broke down the admissions stats this way: Bucknell wants a class of about 900 and Bucknell needs about 225 athletes to fill its official sports teams (not counting club teams). That leaves approx. 675 spots to fill. Next, Bucknell fills about 50-60% of its class with ED 1 and ED2 kids. Granted many athletes apply ED1 or ED2 so there is overlap, but that leaves only about 300-400 spots for regular decision. Still, that means they will have to accepted about double that in the regular round to be sure spots are filled. Bucknell a great school, but it is one of so many great schools out there. These weeks are hard but remember that you can be happy and successful anywhere.
