Did you already get accepted or are you just hoping to get in? I am applying for SLO next year and if I get in, I will be in the graduating class of 2015. Sorry, I don’t really know how to use your format thing - I’m new at this!

-Major: Animal Science

-GPA: 3.77
-State or Country: Born and raised in Orange County, California
-School Type: currently attending Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, CA
-Ethnicity: white

-Other Factors: I have 6 years work experience in veterinary hospitals, I am currently volunteering for the Orange County Zoo, I am a member of my school’s Equine Club, by the time I transfer I will have about 80 units completed with all my general education courses completed as well as classes stated by assist.org
-General Comments: I want to be an animal behaviorist, not a vet. Also, I can’t wait to work with the horses at SLO!

A lot of that information is irrelevant for Cal Poly SLO. The deciding factors will be GPA (A-G UC 9-11 GPA), ACT/SATI test scores, work experience (hours a week), extracurricular activities (hours a week and leadership positions), and maybe a little on courses met that they recommend. Oh and major of course!

Last year they came out by major. Not sure how they did it within a major. I think it happened pretty quickly. My son is in engineering (Materials) and he knew on Feb 11. Good luck to everyone!

nope. i have a feeling decisions won’t be up till tomorrow. last year the first person that posted an acceptance was on the 9th…and the college of agriculture was the first to go. but you never know…

Are the majors that it comes out by in alphabetical order, so Agriculture, Biology, Business, etc. I’m a Bio major so I am very anxious to hear! :D

^^^nah, they were released by the different colleges. And I can confirm the agriculture college comes out first, because I got my acceptance early like Feb 10th or something.

I really hope the increase in applications didn’t delay the admissions process because we could be hearing tomorrow! The “by College” theory seems to apply more or less, although there was acceptances from the Colleges of Science & Math, Liberal Arts… before Engineering and Architecture. This might be due to the huge impact in these two Colleges.
