Maybe they’ll start on Monday of next week?

^ I really hope so

I applied for architecture and I got in weeks ago? But i didn’t apply early decision or anything… in fact, i actually applied right on the deadline so it couldn’t have been rolling admissions?

btw, for uc’s do the acceptances/rejections come out at different times for different people? cause i know a couple who already got accepted but i haven’t got any word from any of them :s

I also applied for architecture but I have not heard back

Patticake: most UC’s cept for ucla and berkeley will hand out decisions starting March 15th. For your friends who may have heard back from uci/ucsb/ucsc/ucd is because they were ELC(top 4% in your hs) and they are guaranteed a spot at mid level uc.

Patticake, are you sure it was SLO and not Pomona? Don’t take that the wrong way, it’s just that sometimes people mix up the two Cal Polys.

& for the UCs, I know that Riverside and Irvine started sending out acceptances for non-ELC people beginning in February.

Maybe Patticake was talking about Pomona. I received my acceptance e-mail from Pomona about a week or two ago.

Same here, I got my acceptance for Pomona two weeks ago! And yeah, UCI and UCR has been releasing decisions for non-elc and ooc students. I heard rumors saying that if you don’t get your acceptance this next few weeks, you’re most likely being rejected… >_>;;

^^ Same with Poly. If we don’t get in they’ll make us torturously wait through hearing everyone else getting accepted before they tell us that they are “regretfully unable to accept or application for admission.”

No change to my daughter’s status of “no decision has been made at this time.”

They’re seriously going to make us wait until March, aren’t they? :(

I was looking on the Cal Poly website today. They have a tentative date of March 3rd to begin the fall 2011 housing sign-ups. Maybe that means either late Feb or really early March at the latest. My husband and I both went to Cal Poly and our son is waiting to hear for BME. San Luis Obispo is a wonderful place to go to school that makes the wait really hard.

thats what i’m thinking. I hate when you call admissions all they say is “you’ll know by April 1st” when i clearly asked them when are they going to send the first round of decisions. man…if its going to be in march that means it could be in the middle of the month. Omg thats way too long! why did they have to do this to us THIS year. cuz of budget cuts or something? anyway, I know you guys are feeling my pain as well.

Does anyone know exactly what the portal will say, word for word, if you are accepted or rejected? I really want to know exactly what words im hoping to see and im just curious!!

I applied as a transfer student for psychology with all GE’s and every pre-requisite done that cal poly asks for, including three extra psych course deeper within the major… 3.14 gpa. what are my chances? I have heard over and over that they stress the importance of having all of their required courses done equally with the gpa. Some of my friends last year didn’t get in with a 3.9/4.0 because they were missing one or two of the pre-req’s so thats what I am hoping because my gpa is a little under the average for psych which is 3.3 i believe. Let me know your thoughts!! It is my ONE AND ONLY choice, I only want to be there.

I emailed Cal Poly as to when decisions will come out and they gave me this link: [After You Apply - Admissions - Cal Poly](<a href=“Cal Poly Admissions”>Cal Poly Admissions)
I hope decisions don’t come out exactly on April 1st… wouldn’t want a college decision on April Fools Day! Hopefully though decisions start be releasing in mid-March.

Same major for my daughter, what community college are you transferring from?

Santa Barbara City College.

I’m a polisci transfer applicant. Two of the courses they had as a pre-req didn’t have exact matches at my community college. When I called they said I should look around and try to take it somewhere else in my area. I did look around and no where within driving distance had a course agreement for those at Cal Poly. I took the classes that sounded the most similar to the course descriptions Cal Poly had for those courses. Hopefully they articulate well enough and I won’t be rejected because of that. I have a 3.94 GPA. It is what they told the out-of-state students to do. Fresno is practically an island anyway. I’m going to visit this weekend. I was hoping to know by now so that I don’t make a wasted trip if I don’t get in but it looks like I’ll be going without answers.

And no, I’m not anxious or anything.

KristenInCursive… you have such a great gpa!! i’m sure that will help so much! I am soooo nervous because my gpa isn’t anywhere near many of the people that post on here but I am just crossing my fingers. I got in out of high school for Studio Art but changed my mind so now its a whole new territory I am entering into with psych. Good luck to you!!
