Glad to see Im not the only one (:

Haha very kind of you! Your stats certainly aren’t too shabby either ;D Best of luck! (:
I have a feeling they’re making us wait until after UCs are due so everyone still applies else where xD I’m just anticipating submitting all my other apps then finding out like 2 days later -___- Not a bad thing though as long as we get in! (:

Intended Major: Liberal Studies
GPA: 4.2
SAT: 1150 (not a high as I want obviously, but hoping GPA makes up for it)
Four years on volleyball team, tons of hours, etc.
Chances??

Intended Major: Computer Engineering
GPA: 3.2-3.4ish Cal Poly Weighted
ACT: 35 Composite (35 English 36 Math 34 Reading 35 Science) [~2340 SAT Scale]

I called Cal Poly. They recalculate your GPA and include 9th grade. I have bad grades fresh + soph year, decent grades junior year. So instead of my 3.64 UC (10th-11th grade) GPA, they include 9th grade as well, which is why Im estimating mine to be so low, around 3.2-3.4 weighted…

Do I have a chance, guys? Terribly low GPA, rigorous high school, 2340 equivalent standardized scores.

mtnbike247, I applied bioresource and agricultural engineering ED too!
GPA: 4.27
SAT: 1230 (M+CR) (not too good)
So scared to find out! Know anyone else’s stats that is applying brae ED?

Very true. Some applicants with less than great freshman years in HS can have a much higher UC GPA than Cal Poly GPA. Cal Poly will also give a +1 to some Honors courses (e.g. sophomore Honors English) that don’t get a +1 in the UC a-g calculations, so it cuts both ways.

GPA can be such a strange calculation. UC does it one way, Cal Poly another, and a High School might calculate it for class ranking purpses with only AP and no Honors (even if UC gives a +1 to that Honors class).at all, plus throw in the grades for PE and Health.

im not expecting anything until the 8th or 9th, hence year’s pasts dates which have been consistently the 8th or 9th, btw people its not uc, pretty much extra curriculars mean nothing its gpa, sat/act, major. Crossing my fingers they look at testing scores to offset my sub par gpa… Anyone else applying comp engineering here?
