No news yet

no changes for me either

I think they’re doing it on purpose because they know how badly we want to know! Jk no change. Do they send out acceptces based of college?

is it true that ag. is sent out first?

@cody from the posts last year… there seemed to be a trend. the first person to hear back (according to college confidential) was the 4th for Food Science. here’s the link to the thread that you could read through to get an idea of how it has been done previously:

Thank you @ashley

Last year’s shows that too.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/cal-poly-san-luis-obispo/802563-official-cal-poly-early-decision-18.html

Food Science and Agriculture heard first. They didn’t get an email first either, just a status change on the portal

wait so if we dont get in ED it doesnt notify us it just take the words “early decision” out of the sentence??

From what I’ve read, yeah. it seems like it.

and then they roll you over to regular decision

I am so sorry for calling you and jheath girls! Dx But thank you so much for posting, I feel a lot better about being admitted now! And I am a girl so thank you so much for providing the link for me!
The suspense is killing me too… I hope we hear from them soon! And if we are all accepted I hope to see you and jheath next year and congratulate you two in person. Again, thank you so much!!!

Are from california or another state?
Also, I looked at that link a while back and it made me happy because I took an extra english class at the local community college in San Diego which gave me 10 semesters of english which in turn gives me an extra 100 bonus points according to the document!

Intended Major: Architecture
SAT: 1090/1600; 1680 overall (superscored)
ACT Composite: 25
GPA: unweighted, 3.88; weighted, 4.12
Class rigor: By time of graduation I will have taken 8 AP classes as well as 7 honors
I’m honestly panicking that I won’t get in, my biggest reason for applying ED was because I heard it will increase my chances because they will consider my app more carefully. I am 100% sure I want to go, I’m just terrified they won’t accept me since Architecture is so competitive there…
What chances do I have??

Intended Major: Liberal Studies
SAT: 1210/1600
ACT Composite: 27
GPA(w): 3.43 (medical problems sophomore year… pls dont judge me:( its really low, i know)

Class rigor: Once I graduate I wouldv’e taken 6 AP classes and 6 honors
E/C: though it isn’t a huge part of the application, i have worked 200+ hours as a volunteer and later 100+ hours as an employee at a pool where I am a lifeguard and teach swim lessons (major related). I have a job, 4 years of sports (field hockey and swim team), and was Sophomore Class VP and Junior Class President. I have also been in an advanced choir in my school for 4 years and VP of that group for 2 years. I’m also a part of a few clubs but i cant remember if they asked for that on the application.

anyway, I know Cal Poly is a reach school for me. But its really the only school I want to go to. Everything is so perfect for me and the kind of education I want and need! I could go on for hours of why I want so badly to get into Cal Poly, but I won’t bore you. haha but does anyone know if I have any chances at all? any feedback would be much appreciated.

thanks in advance and good luck to everyone else who’s applying! :)

@jheath
Yes im from California are you?
And you’re from San Diego? It seems like a lot of people from San Diego go to cal poly slo! But yes they seem to like that extra English class I am quite jealous that you took an extra English class to be honest! You are an amazing candidate for slo I am sure that you will make it in!

@jheath
Oops ignore the “are you?” because you are from San Diego obviously from California… I apologize my brain did not process that -.-

the suspense is actually killing me
let me now asap if anyone hears back

No word for anyone yet? We are dying here in Northern Cali…

I’m from central California and I haven’t heard anything yet either… I’m getting anxious!

Crickets here in So.Cal as well…
