Hurray, SLOMom2014!! Spidey, make sure you check your spam and junk mail too for an email from Cal Poly Admissions.

We’ve been checking this board, I’ve joined the parents groups on FB and my D has joined at least one student group on FB, but so far we haven’t come across any more ED-accepted kinesiology majors–anyone out there? I know they don’t take many but there are many majors in the College of Math and Science that take less.

Luckymom—congratulations to your daughter! My daughter is a senior in Kinesiology with a Minor in Child Development. She’ll be graduating a quarter early in March. Right now she’s busy filling out apps.for Occupational Therapy grad programs. It seems just like yesterday when she was accepted to Cal Poly and we dropped her off at her dorm (Yosemite) in 2010. Enjoy the Open House! And, be sure and go to the Parents’ Coffee on Friday night. Lots of info. and fun hanging out with other parents.

2Leashes–thanks for the good wishes and congrats to your daughter for her next step. My kiddos (for now at least) aspires to be a pediatric physical therapist. Where is your D applying for grad school? Is she considering staying at Cal Poly? Time sure does fly by.

Both my husband I graduated from Cal Poly and it is so cool to hear that my daughter will be there next fall. Of course, we were there before information was available on the internet. As a matter of fact, courses were scheduled on paper not electronically. Right before we graduated, the school implemented a new high-tech phone course request system. We would budget an entire day to register for classes since you never new when the phone wouldn’t be busy.

Things have really changed. There are so many more options. Right now she is trying to decide where she wants to live.

2leashes- my D will be graduating in the spring with a kines major/psych minor. She is also applying to OT schools in CA. Good luck to your D! Wish there was a grad program at CP since my S will be going there next year.

Hi, I’m an English major that applied ED and needs help figuring out if I’ve been rejected or not. The message is pretty ambiguous and has said the same message for ages. Does anybody have answers for me?

My portal page says:

“Thank you for applying to Cal Poly. We have received your application. No determination has been made at this time.”

I don’t think you would have been “rejected” yet, those who applied ED and were not admitted are automatically rolled over into the regular application pool. It doesn’t sound like an early admit, but you still have a chance to hear in the spring. Have all ED notices been sent out?

@ Slowly,

Not rejected, just rolled over into regular decision. That the words, “early decision” have been omitted from your portal statement suggests you will be considered in regular decision now.

If you are rejected for early decision you should be recieveing a letter in the mail soon. For those of you who got rejected in early decision good luck with regular decision.

Does anyone know what happens if you get a D or below in a class and your application was accepted for ED?? Someone answer please, thank you!

your acceptance will get revoked. You need to maintain a C- average.

parker159…here is the page you need: [Terms & Conditions - Admissions - Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo](<a href=“Cal Poly Admissions”>Cal Poly Admissions)

You need to have a grade of C- or better in every class. Don’t get a D! If you already did, then either retake it in the spring at your school or at night at a community college if you can.

Other more senior members of the board–please chime in if I’m not correct.

For those who applied early decision or regular decision is it normal to be able to search classes and even make payments for a quarter if you haven’t been accepted yet? Can everyone do this on the “my cal” portal prior to being accepted? I am able to go as far as entering a credit card to pay for the quarter. I don’t go any further because I don’t want to be charged on my credit card. I don’t know if everyone has this ability or is it possibly an indication of acceptance. Sorry if my question is annoying, I’m just anxious. I applied RD.

I finally got my ‘mycalpoly’ email today to set up my account. I created it, but the system is down to look at anything! I’ll let you know tomorrow what mine shows.

ok I got in and it looks the same as yours (applied RD also). I wouldn’t read anything in to it at all. Now, if your application status changes…

Accepted ED for industrial tech. Has anybody else been asked for a partial transcripts? If so, should I wait until 2nd Semester grades are included? Thanks
