Yes… GoldenWest, your instinct is absolutely right on! The admissions office said it would be best to change it and they gave clear instructions how to do so. My son did it right when he got home from school yesterday.

Thank you for sharing what they told you. Nice to hear that despite what my kids tell me, I am not always off-base!

mechanical engineering

Has anyone applied to Industrial Technology?

Software Engineering
CSU GPA: 4.15~4.16

I submitted for ED around October 27th, and I still have not been asked for any transcripts or test scores. Has anyone else been asked for their materials?

It is my understanding that you do not submit transcripts until you are admitted and going. You self report grades when you apply on the CSU Mentor system. But I think you should have requested your SAT scores be sent through the College Board system?

Any body heard from cal poly admission yet?

I think I read on here that you wont hear back until beginning of December

OK. lilred88 thanks for the reply.

Can someone chance me?

I hope you are a match My son has similar stats for same major. Wishing you luck

@CMStorm. The transcripts don’t have to be submitted yet, but you were supposed to send your scores by November 15th for ED. I don’t know how strict they are about deadlines, but your stats are amazing. Even if you don’t get in ED because you didn’t submit them on time, you will be deferred to RD where you will definitely get in. You need to send your scores by January for RD.

jheath
wow your stats are amazing, way better than mine…I think you have a really good chance of getting in, looking at your classes and test scores! But I heard that being a guy may lower one’s chances of getting into engineering majors…but if you’re a girl then I’m sure that you will be accepted!
I wish you luck, I hope we both get into the industrial engineering department! :D

Can someone chance me?
Major: Computer Science
CSU GPA: 3.96
SAT 1370 (760 Math + 610 CR)
I also took a Beginning C++ class at a community college this summer, and 16-20 hours of extracurriculars, and had work experience in my major
And i took pretty much all of the most rigorous classes I could

jsook724:
I would say you have a good chance.

Applied Early Decision!

Took 5 PLTW Engineering classes in high school, including Civil Engineering & Architecture. Taking AP Calc AB & BC this year.

Can anyone please chance me? My test scores suck a lot, but I hope I get lucky!

@Nitsua24 I think you have an amazing chance of getting in!!

Has anyone gotten the email for their mycalpoly portal? I applied early decision on October 29th. I received the first email, which stated that I would get sent the username and password for the portal within 3 weeks. It’s been 3 weeks and I haven’t received another email. Is anyone else in the same boat?

Also, while I’m at it, could you guys chance me?
Intended major: Recreation, Parks, and Tourism
CSU GPA: 4.08
SAT (superscored):
M: 560
CR: 750
Total: 1310/1600
11-15 hours of extracurriculars/week
I have taken almost all honors classes, with 3 AP’s: AP Environmental Science, AP Spanish, and AP Literature.
The only thing that I think will hurt me is that I got a C both semesters in Algebra 2. Also I am not taking a math class my senior year, which I’m sure is looked down upon. But as you can see from my SAT scores, math is my worst subject and it’s fairly evident that I do much better in other subjects.

Hi dreamingincali–my D applied just a couple of days earlier than you and she received the email to set up her portal either one or two days afterward. So, you should check your spam carefully and if you still don’t see it call admissions. Good luck!
