@aqualh You have posted several GPAs and test scores, how do you know which scores Cal Poly accessed?
Your other post said an ACT of 32, which would definitely be appropriate for Cal Poly, plus GPAs of 3.3-3.7, which depending on which classes, and what points they gave you for honors would bring you into the good range for Cal Poly, so Congrats, and I would say your scores were good enough.

@aqualh I don’t think it’s unusual for you to be accepted with those stats. Although they’re not the best, I’ve seen lower get accepted as well, so don’t underestimate yourself. Congrats!

Just got an Email from CalPoly linking me to a site with a happy video and a step by step process for accepting admission and a little congratulations at the bottom. Not quite the typical acceptance letter but I’ll take it haha. Right now I’m having trouble getting on to my portal because I can’t seem to remember setting up an account but I still have the email from when I sent in my application telling me to make one. Sorry to all of you Californians out there waiting nervously, I thought April 1st was the universal date?

Jumblebee, congrats. In state or out of state?

@jumblebee congrats!! I’m an in state math major too. Do you mind me asking what your unweighted GPA was?

@DaCuda - Congrats! You did what most smart kid’s do. You applied to a good mix of reaches, matches, & safeties. If you get into Cal Poly SLO, your first choice, that would be great. However, if you do not, I’ve done a lot of research into Aero schools and I would rank your acceptances in this order:

Cal Poly Pomona - Excellent program with very close ties to the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. In fact, when we went to the admitted student’s day, the Aero program mentioned that they have the largest alumni contingent at JPL. In state and out of state tuition is quite reasonable. Most importantly, Los Angeles is a major hub for the aerospace industry. Raytheon, Aerospace Corp., SpaceX, etc., are all there in force. There will be many opportunities for internships.

SJSU - Great ties to Silicon Valley, good school. I prefer Cal Poly SLO or Pomona.

Embry Riddle - Private school with outrageous tuition. Great if you want to be a pilot as well and money is no object. Which campus did you get into? Florida or Arizona. Florida is a bit more competitive, but both campuses will get the job done. It just depends what you want.

For my kid, SLO was #1 and he got in. However, if he had not been accepted then Pomona would have been the next choice and he would not have been too disappointed.

@OsakaDad - My son has applied to several Aero schools and has been accepted to Cal Poly Pomona, SDSU, CSULB and University of Arizona. He’s still waiting on Cal Poly SLO, UCLA, UC Irvine and UC Davis. Based on your research, how would you rank these schools for Aero? Do you have any websites you would recommend that rank undergraduate Aero schools?

Hey @Bluebird10 @OsakaDad @DaCuda and all of you, :)
