@Sunflowergirlryd‌ In years past, they typically have notified out of state students first (smaller applicant pool) and then they notify based on alphabetical listing of department so the school of agriculture tends to hear pretty early and then the rest start rolling in after that.

when should out of state students find out (I’m dying over here!) @swimdogmom‌

did anyone get a financial aid email that has a link that says they’ve been accepted. when i checked my email on my phone, it didn’t support the email so it had a link for me to go to and the link says that i’ve been conditionally accepted. when i checked the email again on my computer thought, it was just a finaid reminder.

@aquaelmo‌ I got the same thing, just a financial aid reminder im pretty sure.

In-state male applicant here. Does anyone know if psychology is an especially difficult major to get into at poly? I have heard that it is harder to get into than the other majors in the liberal arts department and I’m hoping that isn’t true…

@jlev96 With any luck OOS applicants COULD hear as soon as this Friday BUT absolutely nothing is for sure in this process. The President’s Day weekend always throws a wrench in the process with an extra day of admissions closure. I know - we’re waiting on another CSU too.

@peterg123: Acceptance rate for Psychology is around 11%. The more popular the major with a higher number of applicants, then lower the acceptance rate. SLO is a difficult school overall, but if you look at the acceptance rates for some majors such as Plant Science and Dairy Science are over 60% due to the low number of applicants applying. Good Luck.

I am an OOS applicant. I wish i can hear back this friday!!

I got an email too, bout had a heard attack because I thought I had gotten accepted lol. But yeah mine says “reguardless of application status, we’d like to remind you…”

Does everyones portal say they can make an online payment?

@kelizabeth2015‌ I think it has said that the whole time, because mine has that too. It’s under the category “finances” correct?

@Sunflowergirlryd‌ yes, i was desperatley hoping it meant something :expressionless:

@ariel230 I’d say you have a very good chance considering your high gpa

I just wanted to say to all those that think their chances are slim…in 2009 my son was accepted with 3.6 GPA, SAT was 1890, no clubs at all and only 25 hrs com serv total because his life was Football and Track. He lived for those 2 sports and didn’t have time for much else. He did work in the summers from soph year on. Not perfect stats but he got in to Comp sci major. He’s graduated now and working in a job he loves, thanks to his great Poly education. So don’t give up hope!
