**OFFICIAL CAL POLY SLO CLASS of 2020 Regular Decision** Thread

What is a good MCA score for an animal science major for this school? I just want to know where I stand…

Never mind

Does anyone know or could help me find out the percent acceptance/yield for communications major?

@eca1998: Based on projections, SLO expects to enroll 57 students out of 963 applicants with an expected acceptance rate of around 18%.

Shoot, i thought coms was fairly easy to get in with. I got deffered from business admin and changed it to coms. What happens to my mca score because of my defferal? Extra points?

@eca1998 woops meant between 11-2 on the 16th/17th- sorry for the confusion. just very anxiously waiting, i’ll be checking every 15 minutes those days!

@eca1998, your MCA stays unchanged, unless you have any of the non-academic adders applied after they are down to the final 3rd (Cal Veteran, Service Area, Partner School, etc.). You’re simply ranked against a different pool of applicants.

We’re going to hear back so soon!! I’m OOS - is it true we hear back first? Also, does anyone know the acceptance rate for a history major?

@collegegirly2016 yes usually OOS are released first within each school. They are released by school alphabetically (agriculture first) and then by OOS to in state.

I’m getting so anxious especially since a handful of people in the ED thread got accepted to Software Engineering with an MCA score 200+ points more than mine >.<

@collegegirly2016 i think its around 60% acceptance rate

@mariplusplus: Projected acceptance rate for SE is around 37%.

@liiiiiiiiiiiiiil Thank you! Do you happen to know the business acceptance rate? My friend applied to that major.

@collegegirly2016: Business Admin expected acceptance rate is around 31%

@Gumbymom Out of curiosity, where did you find the acceptance rates?

This is a link for the enrollment projections:

For Freshman, you take the FTF target for each major, multiply by 3 and then divide by the FTF Apps x100 to get %. These are approximate, so the actual numbers will depend upon of the # of apps received for each major and if the actual yield is x3 or lower.

@Gumbymom thank you so much!

I applied to slo months ago but never sent off my supplemental stuff (application fee, transcript, test scores) until now because after looking around online I’ve realized that it would actually be a good fit for me.

I’m an international student but I couriered everything and it should get there by the end of this week. When they sent me an email a couple of weeks ago they said the deadline to submit files was March 1st, but I have a feeling because I’m so late it really lowers my chances of getting in. I took the SAT bc that is what was available and got a 2050 and have a 3.94 UW GPA.

Is there any hope at all or am I just too late? I really do regret it.

@mash97, send it. Your chances are the same. Good luck.

Does anyone know when decisions start coming out?
