@tigerbookmark no like, it’s not letting us login. at least, not that i can see. literally it says “reply period not active” and thats it. thanks though!
When do admissions decisions go live on the website? The CMU email said 3/26 but did not say what time. Does that mean they will be released by midnight tonight?
@Homsar I think it’s because people were submitting their waitlist requests yesterday prematurely before decision letters even arrived. They probably changed the reply period to a later time to give other people a chance to view their decisions first.
@portia20 Midnight Saturday
so we cant see if we’re waitlisted or not anymore?
You can still check if you’re waitlisted, you just can’t submit your decision to accept/reject your position on the waitlist.
@sleepystud7383 @ymehkri CONGRATS YOU TWO!!!
where does it say if you were waitlisted or not? the link just says that it is not the reply period, and it says this even though i’m not logged in or on my computer
I click the link and it basically says it aint working. For those who were able to check…what did you do? Did you log onto something using your portal ID, name, and bday? Is it possible to check if I am waitlisted on the “Where am I in the Process” application status page? (I logged onto that and everything was normal)
Unofficial PSA for the waitlist form: The form was active last night. CMU caught on this morning and disabled the form from being filled our early. At this point you cannot check it
You need your common app ID, lastname, and birthdate. When I checked yesterday, it says I’m not on the waitlist. The link still works for me, just checked it again. I think for those who are waitlisted so far, it indicates the school and program that they are waitlisted for and a link to accept it or not.
NJ didn’t get mail :((((
there’s no log in on the link, and no indication of a waitlist or not anymore
I see what you guys mean. If I try to open up a new tab, it shows that it’s been disabled. I still have the tab opened from yesterday, and that still works for some reason.
@tigerbookmark I think the fact that I considered giving you my log in info to check for me on that open tab you have goes to show my desperation…lord I need to get myself together!
@terr24hr Don’t sweat it. I don’t think it helps a whole lot. Some people got waitlisted to one or two of their choices, but it says nothing about their other choices. So in the end, it’s still the waiting game.
Without even being logged in and just clicking around through the wait list link & the available buttons I see the following. This makes everyone who goes to the link sound like a wait list candidate. Is this what you see when you go to the link? It doesn’t even allow me to log in. Are you guys sure you are really waitlisted?
Waiting List Reply Form
To access Carnegie Mellon’s Waiting List Reply Form, you’ll need to log in with your Application ID (your Common Application ID). Please submit the Waiting List Reply Form by April 11 if you’re choosing the Priority Waiting List, or by May 1 if you’re choosing the Regular Waiting List.
Submit the Waiting List Reply Form.
At this time, there’s no need for you to request additional letters of recommendation—what we currently have on file is sufficient.
The Carnegie Mellon Waiting List
Thanks for your interest in Carnegie Mellon. All Waiting List candidates are applicants who are academically qualified to be successful Carnegie Mellon students, but due to enrollment limitations, couldn’t be offered admission during the Regular Decision process. We’d like to offer you the opportunity to keep your name on either the Priority or Regular Waiting List and remain an active candidate for Carnegie Mellon until the admission staff can determine whether or not space will be available in the freshman class.
As a Waiting List candidate, you now have a choice. You can choose to remain on the Priority Waiting List or the Regular Waiting List, depending on which better meets your needs, by submitting the Waiting List Reply Form. You can also request to be removed from the Waiting List using the Waiting List Reply Form.
@portia20 When the link was working last night, when you go to the waitlist link, there is an actual login. When you entered your info, it listed the programs you applied to and were waitlisted for. Otherwise, it says “Our records indicate that you are not on the waiting list. If you have questions, please contact the Office of Admission at 412-268-2082.”
@tigerbookmark thanks! That is so crazy!! Good luck everyone!!
waiting to board a 12 hour flight right now and honestly do not know how i’m going to survive knowing that my decision is available
