Country (if international applicant): N/A
School Type: Small suburban public

Income Bracket: Not entirely sure but relatively low I know
Hooks (URM, first generation college, etc.): N/A

Reflection

Strengths: Took every math and science course offered by my high school besides AP Chemistry, and that was only because it didn’t fit in my schedule. Many professional extracurriculars focused around my personal interests. Many leadership positions.
Weaknesses: I couldn’t take honors/AP English or history classes to save my life. No academic extracurriculars.
Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Sure my academics are solid but I think it was all the passion and drive I showed towards my interests in music and show tech (and a whole lot of luck honestly)
Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Just accepted to Ohio State Honors and University of Cincinnati (my safety schools). I revoked all my other applications (Cornell, Stanford, uPenn) after being accepted to CMU

General Comments: Someone be my roommate lmao I’ll bring 8 player smash bros

I’m really disappointed because, even though CMU hasn’t released their admission results yet and I have a 4.8 GPA (4.0)unweighted and high sat score, I never submitted any Math subject tests which i think automatically kicks me out of the running :(((

@scoolcat Check your requirements because each college requires different SAT2s

What college did you apply to?

I applied to the humanities school
