Accepted with 17,500/yr. Only school I applied to that offered me scholarship and a personal ps. Plus they gave out a free t-shirt!!!

Accepted with 30.5k scholarship!!! Very happy.

Hi Everyone,

I was deferred, and I was wondering what I need to do to get in? Does Case accept a lot of deferrals?

Thanks

IDK porbably not a lot of people choose to go to that school out of the people that apply. I got in EA and they wrote on my acceptance letter they loved the amount of community service and did and the uniqueness of it?

Yeah, Case writes little P.S. notes at the bottom of all the acceptance letters regarding part of your application that stood out- for me, they said that they loved my leadership in one of the clubs that I am president of, and that I would hopefully be a great leader at Case.

My son has a fourth degree black belt in Tang Soo Do. The admissions director, in the PS on the letter noted that “I’d be sure to stay on the good side of a fourth degree black belt!” Nice.

My son was really excited about this extra personalization (not to mention the scholarship). He actually posted his acceptance on his status in his Facebook page – and he rarely updates his status.

I think that the precision of Case’s process in both communication and timing (what else would you expect from this fine school?) actually adds to the excitement of the notification.

HI Chillin,

Congratulations on your acceptance and fin aid pkg. Can u share your SAT and GPA stats?

GPA 3.4UW and 1730 SAT…yup…not impressive. On my acceptance letter they said they were impressed with all the community service and clubs i did. 1000+ hours of CS and 400+ working with kids with autism and other disabilities.

oh…wait that question wasnt addressed to me… oh welllllz :)

Thrilled to be accepted. Probably the most prestigious school I’ve been accepted to so far and received a generous financial aid package. I have also received some very nice packages from other schools so I may look in other directions for my undergraduate degree, but I am looking at graduate school after and Case Western is definitely one of my top choices for graduate school. But who knows, a lot of things can change in 4 years.

I applied EA, sent it in on October 31, and never heard back. I emailed the school twice. First, never got a response. Second email, they sent me my log in ID. Still no word on my acceptance or not. I understand how things can get lost/mixed up but the fact that it’s been a month since the EA decisions came out and I never received anything other than an automated email is a little disappointing.

I’m oos and have not visited the campus. How will I get from the airport to the campus? Is the campus spread out or compact. Will I have to travel a distance in order to get to class? Will I feel like I am on a college campus or in a big city? What are the dorms like? Is the campus safe? Where should I stay when visiting?

$30,500 for my 33 ACT and 3.9 uw GPA…

Does anyone know if the 30.5k scholarship was this year’s max??

Also wondering about the free campus visit/airfare offer if anyone has details about receiving that.

Thanks & congrats to the others admitted! :)
