Accepted! with the international academic achievement scholarship! congrats to everyone else who got accepted
I think I might the the first person to report that I was rejected. Not really sure how, since I have a 3.8 GPA and a 1930 SAT with 29 ACT. Also I’ve taken 8 APs with 2 independent study APs and have passed every one of them. That and I have a decent amount of community service, have a diverse musical background, and am part of 4 different clubs and 2 school sports teams.
Honestly, Clark was supposed to be my backup school and I never really planned on going there anyways, but being rejected from a safety is…disheartening to say the least.
My daughter was admitted with a 3.9 unweighted GPA, top 10 %, 2 varsity sports all 4 years, 10 AP’s and excellent EC’s. She applied test optional. Also was awarded $60,000 (15,000 per year) scholarship. She won’t be able to consider Clark until need based financial aid is awarded.
Accepted

Hi, all!! Congrats on all of the good news! I have a bit of an odd request, but here it goes. I was waitlisted. Clark is my absolute first choice, and has been for several years, so I was heartbroken. I know Clark’s yield was around 20% last year and they accepted a sizable amount of their waitlist (approx. 40% I believe). This was enough to give me a little hope. I called and emailed to ask if there’s anything I can do to improve my standing. I won’t know one way or another until after all of their accepted students send their decisions in, so they know if they’ve got space in their freshman class. This could be after May 1st. So, for all of you who’ve been accepted but don’t plan to attend, could you please tell Clark your decision soon? I’m sorry to ask, and I don’t know how much of a difference it might make, but please think of the waitlisted kids with futures hanging in limbo!
TL:DR- If you got in and you know you’re not going, let the school know! Somewhere, a waitlisted kid is praying for your spot!!!
@forgotten312, we will definitely do that soon since we did not got merit aid. Good luck.
@forgotten312 , done! Good luck to you.
wow, thank you so much!! i’ll come back with my decision in a month or so!
