* Essays (subject and responses): Common app was about dealing with my faith and deciding to abandon it; supplemental was philosophical about language and meaning
* Teacher Recs: Probably good
* Counselor Rec: Probably good
* Interview (feel, interviewer and general location): Best interview of them all. The guy was very interesting and was eager to talk about what I wanted to talk about, we wandered off into other related topics (as in, we had a normal conversation), we were still talking excitedly at the end when he had to cut it off. He also was the only interviewer (besides Chicago) to ask me to describe a poem I had written when I said I wrote poetry, which I realized later is a sign of being awesome. He was an investment banker (what else) and we had it at a Dunkin Donuts near his apartment.

To Parentstwo and JGonzo --
My d (double legacy if you count one parent law school and the other grad school) also got rejected. But it is OK. I think she moved on shortly after the deferral in December. The saga is not over yet -- still other colleges to hear from, great acceptances, and a wait list at a school that ultimately supplanted Yale as her "dream". Best of luck to you and yours.

I got rejected...dunno what i really expected lol
