not necessarily formal... but like... i don't know..
capture the flag, paint the mascot (do colleges have mascots?), steal the cannon, you know... anything that will promote good old competitive spirit!

For crying out loud there must be some competition between colleges, intramural or not, sport or no sport, official or fairly ilegit.... right?

Yea that's what I was thinking...I just don't think Princeton is the most...efficient sometimes, and getting those special stones from Europe to build Whitman must be taking a long time...:p

The tiger is the mascot of the University! ...duuuh... I was asking about res college mascots.
I know the canon thing was with Rutgers, I was curious if there is any such thing between res colleges

I don't think they have that many spare cannons lol.
Um, I don't think res colleges have mascots either. The butt? hahahha
And Forbes is the only one with a slogan thingie.

I don't know, but if you go to the individual residential college websites, they all have different colors. Rocky is green, Butler is one shade of blue, Forbes is one shade of red, Mathey is another shade of Red, and Wilson is another shade of blue. And I can't see close enough, but the sheilds look kind of different, too. But it could just be a trick of the eye.

Well, when an admissions rep visited my school I think someone asked about this, and her answer was basically that your strongest allegiance will be to your class year, in pton and in the future as alumni. You will have tons of '09 stuff and that's the first thing you're going to ask/tell when you meet other princeton people.

Exactly. That's one advantage I think we have over a school like Yale: we aren't bound to (or as it sometimes seems, imprisoned by) our residential college. It's all about the 2-0-0-9 :D

theres no "class cannon." there are just the cannons that date back to when rutgers was a comparable school, which were stamped by the graduating class of '05 (senior prank type deal).

There's Cane Spree in the spring to look forward to! That'll decide which class is the best once and for all (among '08 and '09, anyways). Of course '09 will win, but it'll be fun to watch/participate in anyways :D
