All the pages took FOREVER to load, and the last page before the decision letter seriously took about five minutes to load--I remember my whole body was shaking like crazy and I had a really hard time breathing, and when it finally loaded, I was searching for the words "regret" and "unable to offer you admission" but I didn't see that, so when I read the whole thing and it said "Congratulations!" I screamed and read it over and over again to make sure I wasn't dreaming or making it up. Hahaha omg I'm SOOO glad to be accepted into Duke--even though it's my top choice I'm going to have a hard time choosing between Duke and Chicago :(</p>

Also played piano 10+ years with various piano awards, Bryn Mawr book award, other awards.
[</em>] Why I think I was accepted/rejected/waitlisted: It helps to live in NC. Also, my essay and extracurriculars were pretty good. I thought my SAT would kill me, but I guess SAT doesn't matter that much to Duke--several of my NC friends with scores in the 2200-2300 range were waitlisted or rejected. Finally, Im in AP Latin, and really played up my classics interest (universities are always craving more classics students).
