***** Official Class of 2011 RD Decisions *****

Alright someone was asking for this in another thread, so I just decided to post it.

It really is helpful for prospective students ( including myself ) to see the decisions that will begin to roll in. It really does help, so please post.

Good Luck to everyone

Copy and paste the following into the reply. Then fill in the answers. First decision, then SAT scores, etc.
Remove the spaces inside the brackets to make it work...

lets make it a little more easier to read by making ACCEPTED green, REJECTED red, and WAITLIST yellow. Do this by by putting Red, Yellow, or Green in where the word "Red" is right now in the first line.

Also, please post your stats even if you were rejected. I know it may be heartbreaking, but these decisions threads help people gauge what ND tends to accept and what it tends to reject, and thus plan accordingly in future years. Thanks!

Just so you know, my thoughts and prayers are with all of you... I know how much this waiting period sucks.

A take-off on the Irish Blessing Prayer:

May your mailbox be filled with big white envelopes
May the first line read congratulations!

I got a letter asking to clarify some financial aid stuff today, so that's probably a good sign.

sryrstress did you get your decision online/mail? if mail, do you live near ND?

Regular mail. Live 1 hour south of S. Bend.

When i went to the mailbox today there was a large white envelope. Unfortunately it was just more stuff from St Louis University. It was a big let down to say the least.

I heard that 1978 people were accepted... not sure if that's total or just RD. I also heard that the pool was "much larger" than last year. Godspeed everybody.

PCB, I think 1978 is about the size of class ND wants to admit - IIRC, they usually accept 3500 or so to get that yield.

My son is in the class of 2010, and I think they enrolled 2053 or thereabouts in his class.

The "much larger" thing isn't happy news. :)

i agree. I went to one of the admissions sessions on campus in sept. and they said that they admit around 3600 per year for a yield of around 2000. They said they expected around 13,000 total applicants this year. Good luck to all!!

which means we're looking at around a 28% chance of acceptance. just great

I actually consider those pretty good odds compared to a lot of other schools. Boston College, for example, got over 28,000 applications for 2250 openings. I don't know how many they admit to get that yield, though.
