Congratulations to all! College admissions is really a crap-shoot: DD was accepted at Harvard, Princeton, Stanford and Yale, but wait-listed at Brown.

Whoo! Rejected!!!

hahahaaha reeeeeeejected... college is so random, into georgetown and waitlist at brown... wheeeeee!

i wasn't really considering cornell so it's all good, but i definitely thought the rejection letter was a little cruel!

waitlisted... sitll going to be on there but i got cornell for now ;p anyone know the percentage of people that get waitlisted?

Decision: REJEEEEECTEEEEED! WOOHOO! la la la singin the rejection song

General Comments/Congratulations/Venting/Commiserations,etc: :( ALRIGHT BABY! rejected and for some reason, the letter online was very soothing and it helped me :P

S was accepted! Didn't expect it; waitlisted at Penn. Sat:2290 ACT:33 GPA 4.3 RANK: 12/500. All APs. One thing I can say is he really worked hard on the essays for the application. They impressed me. To all who were waitlisted or rejected, everything really will work out for the best. Believe me, it's not the end of the world! Things have a way of happening for the best in the long run. Besides, S may not even go to Brown! He's not sure yet.

Duke - Paltry money, gonna hit em up for more $$ after Duke Up Close
UVA - Echols, we'll see how much I get
UMCP - full ride - maybe
Rejected from Columbia. In at URochester, BostonU, JHU, and Dartmouth (all giving 10-13k)

It was my top choice by far.... I don't know what to feel or do anymore. But I'm not sad. They didn't like me. I'll move on. I know that odds of being called off the waitlist are stupid low... so I'm looking to visit Duke and UVA. Dartmouth is too isolated, I don't like JHU, URoch, or Boston. Shoulda applied to more schools...

And heh, alvyy, sorry it took so long. Surprised you noticed I hadn't posted. Sorry cowtipper... woulda been fun to shop with you.

I was rejected....and I join the rejection club ;)

General Comments/Congratulations/Venting/Commiserations,etc: Congrats to all other accepted students! And for those of you waitlisted...let's just say I was also waitlisted at 4 other schools today, I'm sure you will all end up somewhere great. And for those rejected...keep your chin up, you'll be happy wherever you end up.

haha rejection is so bad.

Not if you look at it with an optimistic attitude.

[ /list]

Accepted - 35 ACT, 3.7/4.0 GPA, white, male, southern

Probably headed to Villanova or WUSTL though.

Brown is probably third on my list, tied with Princeton, at the moment. It all depends on the financial aid offers. I'm also still waiting to hear from Northwestern.

i was rejected...too lazy to post stats but i had plenty of EC's, a hook in politics, great recs, essay, and TONS of 4/5's on over 5 AP tests. i think my SAT scores were to low, although i had a decent, but obviously no the best ACT(29)

rejection felt bad, but i have McGill and University of Arizona to chose from.

Sorry about your rejection, but Arizona is a great option. I applied to there, Santa Clara, and Pepperdine just so that if I didn't get into any of the Ivy's or other 'big name' schools, then I'd at least have a school to fall back on that's in a beautiful geographic location.

I mean, just check out the view -
