oh yeah forgot to mention that I didn't interview... didn't even make the effort to schedule one XD I am all about minimal overachieving... which makes no sense to anyone else, I'm sure. (it's kind of like... being an overachiever and a lazy bum at the same time)

Sometimes I really wonder why I got in haha

haha yeah john its me, i suck at these html tag things.

I am also fairly talented at writing.

[] Weaknesses: had somewhat low GPA and unusual grade dips, did not have an upward grade trend on my transcript
[li] Why you think you were accepted/wait listed/denied: I think I nailed my essay down very well. My workaholism showed through my resume and EC's, and I definitely demonstrated tons of interest. I think my debate experience also demonstrated that I like hardcore intellectualism. [/li][/ul]Other Factors: Residential advantage (from NE)
General Comments/Congratulations/Venting/Commiserations,etc: Another bonus to attending this school: my school colors haven't changed from high school to college. Yaaaay Maroon!

Foo-cowe= hawt.

lol bohbeep, the train left the station on this thread about a year ago.

It's Michel Foucault, not "Micheal."

Now that the thread necromancy has been completed, I might as well make my own comment on Foucault. The first time I heard Foucault's name was when a friend was complaining about a book she had to read for Self. Since she disliked the text quite a bit, and I had taken Japanese with this person previously, I thought she was referring to the Japanese word 'fu-kou' (which has exactly the same pronunciation), which translates to 'unhappiness'. From what I've heard, there may be a bit of truth to this mistranslation.

hahhahahahahahahaha

I kind of like what I've read by Foucault...? Unlike some theorists, he's aware that he's writing for an audience and is a better explainer than some theorists who seem to write only for themselves.

coughZizekcough.
