**** Official Class Of 2012 EA Decisions ****

Alright, I just copied this off of the topic last year on RD decisions, but it’s still applicable to this year’s EA applicants.

It really is helpful for prospective students to see the decisions that will begin to roll in. It really does help, so please post.

Good Luck to everyone

Copy and paste the following into the reply. Then fill in the answers. First decision, then SAT scores, etc.
Remove the spaces inside the brackets to make it work…

Let’s make it a little more easier to read by making ACCEPTED green, REJECTED red, and WAITLIST yellow. Do this by by putting Red, Yellow, or Green in where the word “Red” is right now in the first line.

here we go

haha, just about 4 more days til posting on this thread begins

What day did they do it last year? The Agora says "decisions released by Dec 15 07" so they have up to the 15th to mail it, and then it depends on transit time with the postal service.

Although WPI had a similar thing (release by Dec 15 for EA), and from what I understand acceptance letters were dated on the 11th and mailed on the 12th.

i talked to addmit office today, letters are being sent today/all next week with no agora posts before that :( really blows cause im in oregon...

Another duck here... First class email only takes 2 days to get over from the right coast.

wait...so no letters got mailed yesterday?

hey gg great to see another oregonian in the pack, you apply ea to bc?

I understand your anxiety! When our D (BC '07) was waiting for her letter it seemed to take forever. We think they mailed them alphabetically because her classmates closer to the "A's" heard before those in the middle of the alphabet, etc. I don't know if they are still doing it that way, but just thought I would let you know that they have sent them that way in other years! Good Luck--she absolutely loved it!!

Decision:Accepted at CSoM

I tried posting the rest of the stuff but it failed.

Anyways, I woke up to my mail slot slamming shut, and when I got out of bed my dad was walking up the stairs with my envelope.

I live right next to Boston, which probably explains why it seems like I'm the first to hear.

Is it possible that a Chicago student could get a reply today? My last name starts with a B.

I'm wondering the same thing about NY, but my last name is unfortunately at the end of the alphabet. Anyone know?

I don't know about the mailing alphabetically thing...

If you really want to know, just go here and put "Large envelope", enter a random weight (guess whatever you want, put 0 pounds X ounces), put "02467" for Zip of the sending office (admissions), and your own ZIP. It'll tell you prices based on the weight (which you probably don't care about), but it will also tell you:

First-Class Mail Large Envelope Delivery
Speed: X Days

Yea...I don't think that anyone should do that because you might be a little perturbed when you find out. Mine says 3 days...bit you think I could get it overnighted with the app fee that I payed.

i live in hawaii, and mine says 3 days

why cant we find out online>?
or on the phone :-P

3 days to San Diego

Congrats y7bbb6!!
I hope mine comes today in New Jersey...

I live about 20 miles north of Boston, and got my letter a few minutes ago.

[li] Gender: Male
[/li]

[li] major strength/weakness: Grades maybe? But I thought my rank would offset it. (top 6%)
[/li]

[li] why you think you were accepted/rejected/deferred: Not a very good UW GPA, hit-or-miss essay.
[/li]

[li] Other Factors: Rather disappointed, BC was my top choice.
[/li]

[li] going to attend? We'll see what happens in April.
[/li]

On the plus side, it was the smallest and thinnest envelope I've ever seen. It only had one sheet of paper inside, so when I first saw it, I thought I had been rejected.
Good luck to everyone else.

****...how did you get deferred.
I am nervous now.

First of all, congrats to y7bbb6 on your EA acceptance!!

The letter was a thin, white envelope...right away knew it was a deferral.
In the letter, it stated there were 7,000 EA applicants.
