Congrats to All!

This will certainly be an exciting thread. We've been discussing it at length at our house today.

However, we've been told by the college of music admissions that my son may not actually find out tonight and will have to wait until he's had his audition in Feb. It's possible it will show him as deferred. Not sure what that will do as far as getting a priority number for housing.

Thank you nycollegedad. I'm glad to be accepted.

I'm excited for everyonnnne already. I remember this moment! :)

Congratulations to all!! :D

its almost that time..

At what time exactly do they tell you?

We're in Central time zone so we're 1 hour behind. So keep that in mind wherever you might be.

Hello everyone! Does the cheat really work? I have been telling my friends about it and most have said 200! I and a couple of others have 0. I don't want someone yelling at me during school tomorrow for the wrong info lol.

Once accepted...
1. Decide if you plan to attend FSU
2. Sign up for on-campus housing (Florida State University Housing)
3. Pay your $200 Admissions Deposit (fsu admissions | admission deposit)
4. Orientation information will be mailed within the next week and orientation registration opens Dec. 15 at (fsu.edu | new student & family programs) - space in sessions is first come so sign up early if you have a busy summer with plans
5. Turn in your health immunization form & do the online immunization waiver (Welcome to Thagard Student Health Center) before orientation - do early

Visit fsu.edu | newnole

Remember that Admissions Deposit and Orientation must both be paid before May 1, 2009 to save your spot at FSU. Do not let your grades/schedule change or you can have your acceptance canceled.

Congrats all you new noles!

Congratulations to everyone!

I got in tonight too! I was sooo nervous as FSU was the only school I applied to. :D

P.S. I did the housing priority and was number 239. So within 2 hours obviously a lot of students have already registered.

A 239 is still excellent. :)

I made it. I was up until midnight, too. Though I totally forgot to do housing until I got home from school today.

I got 588. Is this horrible?

Though, I'm hoping that won't matter since I want to be in Landis, the 403 occupant Honors dorm. I'm hoping that not all 403 honors students who want to be in Landis are numbers before me...

Of course this is if I go to FSU, being a back up school that I really love. I may end up going to one of my other 4: Emory, Vanderbilt, George Washington, or Wake Forest.

Though with me being poor, Bright Futures would be an awesome help for me if I go to FSU.

Thanks, and congrats to all of my fellow class of '13 students!

Unfortunately, my family is moving this spring to Colorado this spring, so I don't know if I want to be that far away.... but with the current economic problems and personal financial problems, the cheapness of FSU (or UF) is looking more and more friendly. :)

I got the official e-mail at 11:01 Central time (I'm in P'cola).

Do you have to pay the $225 prepayment now if you complete the housing form?

I MADE IT! I just have to apply for housing later when I get the chance. I'm so going to be last in line ;_;

Not immediately; it must be paid within 10 days, and if you're under 18, you have to sign the contract and mail it to them as well (with 10 days).

If you decide not to attend, you will receive all but 50 dollars back

hey i just got accepted. I was wondering if you know what the best dorm would be for a freshman.

Congratulations!

Lots of threads on dorms at FSU on this site. I suggest a renovated east-side dorm.

my s started last summer. we are from oos and he didn't no anyone. he lived in glichrist over the summer (made lots of friends, had fun, good location right near landis green) and now lives in wildwood on the west side of campus near the football stadium. he likes it there as well. the campus is easy to navigate once you get used to it.
