How did you get accepted…they aren’t releasing decisions till dec

thats true… how did u know if you got accepeted?

I apologize for not clarifying. I applied via early action, so I got my decision early October.

Early Action means that you are a junior right?

So all people applying ED 1/2 get their decisions on December 15 exactly?

ED 1 should get something in the mail as early as December 11. The decision for ED I will be posted online as early as December 15. For ED II you could possibly hear back on December 15-30 but the majority of people will hear back on January 15.

Steelersngators, the early action application was a special option for those who completed the ap/ea summer program. I think what you are referring to is early admission, which is a junior application.

Thanks for explaining that for me. Well congratulations that’s quite an impressive profile. Would you mind telling us the last three things that were sent out on your Where Am I in the Process Page ?

Thank you for your kind words. Here are the last three things that were sent:

08-oct-2009 Decision Notification
20-oct-2009 Fin Aid Application Mailed
23-sep-2009 Application Receipt Letter

Wow, KZ, you have probably one of the more impressive resumes I have ever seen. What are you going to do? CMU or applying to other schools? I would guess that you would get into any school that you apply to.

Thank you very much for your compliment, busdriver11. My parents initially wanted me to attend Stanford or MIT, but after considering CMU’s strengths in AI, programming language, and robotics (the areas I wish to focus in), we concluded that it would be the best option for me. After last summer, I really learned to like to school, and as of now, I don’t think I will apply anywhere else. It depends on my parents’ mood though ;).

CMU is lucky to have you, if that ends up to be your final decision. Of course, it looks to me like you certainly have earned the choice to go anywhere you want to…those are all fantastic schools, you can’t go wrong with any of them!

Thanks steelersngaters for the dates. I needed that.
And good job Kev! CMU is definitely a great place to study robotics :)
