Official Class of 2014 Pitt Decisions Thread

haha congrats Prussia!

If you get an interview for Chancellor’s the odds actually aren’t that bad. On the website it says that 100 get interviewed and 10-15 Chancellor’s scholars matriculate. So they would accept more than 10-15.

True, true. Good point. You have me convinced. Definitely going for it.
I really do love Pitt, so I would be quite happy to end up there.

^Congrats!! I was invited to the Chancellor Scholarship too, but I don’t think I’ll have the time to send in my application on time, since my deadline’s tomorrow. :(

I have a question. If I’m applying for the Chancellor’s scholarship, do I have to have my high school directly send my transcript or can I just get a copy of it and then send it myself?

My son had his Guidance Counselor give him an official copy in a school sealed envelope that he send in with his application. He did the same with teacher recs. That way he knew everything got in.

FINALLY! Good things really do come to those who wait… and email OAFA! My mom has been emailing OAFA back and forth for months now and she just received word that I am getting a $10,000/year scholarship  For anyone who is still waiting to hear back from Pitt, there is still money available!

It’s good to know you finally heard, pinknpreppy! They really shouldn’t have left you hanging for so long but it looks like they came through with it.

Congrats Pinknpreppy.

So, are you going to go?

I was accepted around mid-December
and I got my Honors College acceptance today.

No scholarship info yet, though.
Am I just not getting any? :frowning: I’m nervous!

Pinknpreppy: I’m so so so happy for you. We’ve been waiting for scholarship word since acceptance in early Nov. with 1410 SATs and top 3-4 percent of HS (see earlier post). Glad to know they still are coming up with scholarship money. You’ve given us some hope, although I see you scored higher on SATs. Oh well, the wait goes on.
Anyone: Are D’s stats good enough this year?

Yay pinknpreppy!!! It’s about time you heard something ;- ) I have been following this thread to see if/when you would get some money! Congratulations! You deserve it and you have been very patient! My daughter got the $10,000 as well. We will see now in April where everyone actually ends up going.

Good luck to JustBob, jmj and mojay…I hope you hear about money soon too!

Wondering if people are still hearing about scholarships. My daughter has been accepted for the fall (heard in early January), and we’re now waiting to hear about financial aid. I’ve emailed a couple of times over the last week with a few questions, but have gotten no responses from them :(

It seems to be taking longer this year, but if you go back a page, pinknpreppy just got notified.

So there’s still hope . . . .
