Official Class of 2014 University of Michigan Decisions Thread

^right now there should be these 2 links side by side:view application data;view credentials;& then there’s this huge gaping space, which at some point, will be filled with a third link called view decision, from what i’ve heard, lol.

It won’t show unless they have given you a decision

^exactly…

Ya know, I wasn’t really at all worried or fretting about this all until I stumbled upon this board… now I am an anxious, nervous wreck :stuck_out_tongue: Oh joy!

For those who were recently deferred: When you click “View Credentials” on Wolverine Access, does it say “7th Semester Grades Notified” ?

no it doesn’t, nor does it say view decision. Also the letter was postmarked dec 4, friday, when they put out all the online stuff

^^flipper, it did for some people a while back on this board, i remember. it probably varies person to person.

just got my letter of deferral today… anyone want to guess my chances of getting accepted?

…i’m hoping my extra curriculars, ACT, and writing awards will offset my mediocre GPA. as far as seventh semester grades, i’m expecting 3.7-3.85.

also: since i’m applying to the RC in LSA i was wondering if my achievements in writing will have a greater impact on my admission than they would in another college.

thanks!

thats weird that you got deferred, there were in state people with way worst stats that got accepted

Ahhh it sucks now they are sending defferals by mail. Now I’m gonna freak out everytime I go to the mailbox.

in terms of decisions i’m guessing one batch every friday and deferrals every monday. Or they may just be sending out deferrals as they make decisions, who knows.

No if your deferred it usually have the 7th semester grades - notified.
When I mentin “Test Date” I was stating that I made a error to an earlier post stating that University of Michigan recieved my test on x/x date but it was actually just the test date documented.

yeah for real i don’t know why i was deferred so quickly. but my GPA is just ok. ah i have like no idea if i’m going to get in or not now.

Decision: Deferred

Come on, don’t hate on Coolbreeze!

and does anyone know differences between waiting list and deferral? i’m sure they’re somewhere here in this thread but i would prefer not to look through over 90 pages to get the answer…

I got the little envelope in the mail and knew what it meant. My friends and family thought i would get in, but just wasnt good enough. Whats the earliest we could hear back?

@ pavlov
i think you have a huge chance of getting in. yea as far as i’m aware deferred means they will revaluate your application with RD and with your new scores/all else you send it. Waitlisted is after the deferral period (although a deferral only applied to EA applicants) and you’re basically on a waiting list…idk what the process of that is though.
correct me if i am incorrect.
