[] Essays: I had a crazy commonapp essay about lying to my parents about how I donā€™t believe in god, but found my own ā€œreligionā€ in math and physics. I think I fudged some quantum theory to fit my purpose, but itā€™s too late now. My Why CMU essay I think was relatively good. I canā€™t really tell.

General Comments: CMU is one of my top choice schools :] I donā€™t even know what to say. Quite a few kids applied from my school too, so Iā€™m curious to see what happens tomorrow. Iā€™m still waiting for Cornell and Johns Hopkins thoughā€¦

Congratulations to everyone accepted! Iā€™m sure everything will work out fine regardless of whether or not you were admitted.

Is the application id weā€™re supposed to use our Common App ID?

@Enceph: no. when you received an application information packet from CMU, there was an application ID written somewhere within. Otherwise just hinge on the mail

General Comments:
Pleasantly surprised. Waitlisted at SCS, but that was my second choice.

still cant believe i got in but i guess im just waiting for financial aid. news came on saturday. mom said she cried but im still blank about itā€¦i guess it hasnt hit me yet.

What was inside the application receipt mail? Is the ID listed on a letter paper or is it in a thick packet?

The Application ID was on the letter page. If you didnā€™t get it, you can call (not now, though) and ask them or email them.

They sent me my Admissions ID by phone after I contacted them. To which I promptly lost it again until I double clicked Chrome and my entry that I typed in was saved in there.

Thanks, Google Chrome!

Is there anyone else who hasnā€™t yet received their decision? Maybe its the fact that I applied to tepper; havnā€™t seen any decisions on CC from there yet.

no decision yet. Asian living in South Korea.

One of my friends checked online and got an acceptance from Tepper.

**General Comments: **Totally surprised!! (Since I got rejected from Berkeleyā€¦) I think those recommendations helped me a LOT.

Wow I totally canā€™t believe I got accepted to CIT (CHE)! I took a chance on my essay, and I was nervous that they would hate it. I didnā€™t really think that I had anything that set me apart either. Ahhhhh Iā€™m so excited. I donā€™t even know why because I could never in a million years afford CMU haha.
