<p>Did anybody get merit scholarships? I was really hoping to but got nothing in the letter. I am an Asian from the Northeast with a 2100 SAT and 3.6 GPA.</p>

<p>My son received his acceptance in the mail around February 1. I was surprised how early he heard since he applied in mid December, well after the early decision deadline. I guess they classified him as an early decision applicant.</p>
<p>Anyone still waiting for Early Decision…or gotten deferral or rejection yet? ds hasn’t heard via mail or online yet and all in on time. Blog on admissions page states all decisions mailed and online status updated Feb 1.</p>

<p>Been accepted to MSU - East Lansing, but Miami & Oxford is #1 for me </p>
<p>I was deferred ED to Duke and I have submitted two additional recs (adult and peer), wrote them a cover letter stating I am still interested, and then I had my sister (current Duke student) write another recommendation. I also submitted to them an additional essay that was more personal. You should try a few of these to help earn you a spot at Miami. It cant hurt!</p>
<p>Blueline…did you get a letter in snail mail? After harassing admissions for two days via email and phone, we finally got ds login/password and the letter posted there stated he would receive a decision on March 15. Since he applied early action and all materials in prior to Dec 1, guessing this is a deferral; but they did not state that or ask for additional information.</p>
<p>yes, I received my online notice 12am on 2/1 and the letter 2 days after. My admission rep knows of my sincere interest so hopefully all will work our on 3/15. Just wish it was behind me rather than waiting another month</p>

<p>I know a few people who go to miami, but very little about the program itself. I live about 3 hours away and have yet to visit the campus so I cannot say much about it. I am drawn to miami because its ranking (16th by business week) and its brand new (well almost) building. </p>
