<p>Subjective:
Essays: I wrote the first about waking up in the hospital after a major surgery. It, perhaps, wasn’t the best idea for a college essay, but a very good piece of storytelling.
I wrote the second defending my low GPA and that I really love Pitt.
Teacher Recs: No idea. I imagine not too horrible.
Counselor Rec: My counselor taught me in sophomore year and really liked me, so I imagine his recommendation was good.
Hook (if any): I go to a very good private Quaker school where a lot of the students (a third of the senior class one year) get into Pitt, but use it as a backup school. For me, however, Pitt was my first choice and my admissions counselor conveyed that to Pitt. </p>
