BUT a girl from her school had a 28 ACT and 4.3 GPA and was rejected (offered to go to OSU at Mansfield)

I agree OSUBuck216, I believe race played a huge roll on my acceptance. How on earth did I get in with a 23 ACT, 3.4 UW 3.7 W GPA and the girl from OhioMom’s daughter’s school gets rejected with those stats? But hey I’m not complaining. Congrats guys!(:

I was accepted as well, my stats are not that great,
uw GPA-3.92
ACT-low 30’s
8 AP classes
some EC, figure skating, NHS, High School News Paper,
I got in on the skin of my teeth! Do our essays play a major part in our acceptance? Could that be the difference in the cases where our stats are low verses being URM?

I applied on November 29th and my online application status switched to “Admitted” on December 6th. I was absolutely shocked to receive a decision in only a week!

My packet has not yet come in the mail. My question is, will it let me know if I have received any scholarships (National Buckeye, Trustee, etc.) or does this decision come at a later date?

Halo512, last year my daughter received her letter of acceptance to OSU, and then it was followed within about three weeks by a letter notifying her she had received the Maximus Scholarship. Scholarship letters are sent out separately, and in fact, you probably will receive a flurry of mail from Ohio State in the coming weeks.

Deferred as well.

I guess I’ll just be waiting until March to find out. :/

Hmm, I haven’t heard that. It doesn’t seem like that based on the people i know who got in. Not sure though!
Also, I was accepted 11/16 - in-state, 31 ACT, 4.4 weighted GPA. Yay!
Finally, is there an official Facebook group? I’ve seen I couple, but they don’t seem real or right (like people pretending they’re upperclassmen and I don’t think they really are, or no group admins haha?).
Did anyone else apply for Honors/Scholars?

Yeah tht doesn’t seem right. 7 people from my school have been admitted and our last names range from B to T. If that were the case my sister would have had her decision by now
osuab16, I think there’s a FB group. There’s only like 5 people who like it so it’s kind of sketchy. Maybe I’m wrong.lol

Accepted!!!
Im an international student
I sent the application on november 29th and my application status changed to “acceptance” this morning :)

For US residents, there is no seperate scholarship application right? Im an international student living in dubai (indian), but I just wanted to know as everyone here is saying ‘waiting for scholarships’ and stuff.
