<p>Does anyone know how strict OSU is about their scholarship requirements? The Trustee scholarship says you have to be in the top 20% of your class to receive it, but when I applied I was ranked about 22% in my class. As it stands now, I’m now at top 18%. I haven’t gotten any info about scholarships yet and I was accepted back in mid-November.</p>
<p>@bpolly - D is a freshman this year and received the Trustee’s scholarship. Her high school does not rank, so based on this experience I would say they are not strict on that particular qualification.</p>
<p>There’s no reason to worry if you’re ACT is 30+ with a 3.9 GPA and a ton of EC’s, you’re most likely in in any major.
I got admitted into Mechanical Engineering with:
27 ACT
around a 3.01 GPA UW
only EC’s were basically school sports i played:3 yr football, varsity for one, 4 years baseball varsity 3, one year bball, three years bowling, three years varsity.
class rank is around top 15%, not a very competitive HS
as for AP classes I’m only taking Calculus AB, with a decent amount of honors classes
