Use this thread to discuss UMich! Decisions for EA will be coming out within a few weeks, and a template will be posted to copy stats and decisions results. Good luck!

Cannot wait! Feels like I’ve been waiting for this decision forever, haha. I’m anxious!

So nervous/excited/anxious… can’t wait! For some reason I feel less and less confident about my chances as it drags on. Does anyone else feel like this?

Absolutely. I’ve convinced myself Im not getting in so nervous.

I totally know what you mean. Don’t worry.

Do we get notified through email first? Or should i be checking Wolverine Access daily?

I think we get an email and then it’s posted on Wolverine Access, but I’m not sure. Either way, I’ve been checking Wolverine Access daily since I submitted my app out of mere compulsion.

Me too. My chances are so slim that I am being pessimistic. We’ll see what happens.

I just freaked out when i saw the official thread and saw seven replies-- thinking that seven people had heard back! SO nervous!!

You will get an email about 3 or 4 days before it’s posted on Wolverine Access.

Good luck everyone!

good luck everyone and go blue!

When is the notification date?

We are notified by December 23.

Hopefully, like last year, they will send decisions out earlier

^ Yeah, I was just wondering if anyone had heard anything different. Last year they said you would be notified by the 23rd but people started getting acceptances last year around the 17th I think.

Is there anywhere on wolverine access where it tells you any sort of status or update on your application??

I’m so freaking excited! The more I look into UM the more I wanna go!

Do you think they got more applications than they can handle this year by EA decisions? I sent my app in really close to the deadline and I’d hate to get deferred because of it!

Question… I dont want to sound boastful or anything, but people have told me that Michigan is a safety for me, and that Id be sure to get in. A couple days after sending in my app, I realized there was an error on my common app essay (sent to a couple other colleges, but created a Second Version for the rest). I believe the phrase in question went something like this…

“Still have time left over [to] have…” The ‘to’ was mysteriously omitted. so its read like this…

“Still have time left over have…”

I actually glanced right over when reading it, hence the mistake, but its not completely unnoticeable.

This couldnt kill me outright, could it, especially if my stats/grades were very good?

While a typo never looks good… I’m sure they won’t discard your entire high school accomplishments or even mark your essay down for one minor mistake. The admissions officers are human too and they realize we’re all young and make mistakes

So. freaking. anxious.

If there’s any college that I can realistically get into that beats Pitt for free tuition, it might be this one.
