Majority of new applicants are OOS because of the common app; more kids that would apply to the Ivies are now applying to U of M as a safety and most are OOS.

I also have a question: What time of day are the emails typically sent out?

ughh haha im so anxious/nervous bc Michigan (and i guess Boston College) are the only two safeties I applied to and they aren’t really traditional safety schools. Basically if i dont get in im screwed and have to apply to a ton of safeties in a short amount of time.

riverbirch that post is just cruel…but I am happy to see it:) This way if (when ) I get rejected I can at least have this…lol.

Unfortunately, I started out feeling fairly confident that I stood a decent chance of admission to UMich…and then my confidence started to drop a little bit with each day since I hit submit. So these next couple of weeks are going to be hell.

I was just trying to show the time and date it was sent out.
I’m sure you’ll be seeing this-everyone gets worried while they wait and wait and wait…
Have you ever posted your stats and asked your chances?

Do you think it’s the day of the week or the date that matters? If it’s the day of the week, maybe we can hope for the 15th, because that’s a Thursday, and they went out on a Thursday last year.

@GreyWolf sadly, no, its much later. Ross doesnt even start screening until after our decisions are sent out. I think its usually in March that we hear. Obviously if you get rejected or deferred, you won’t get into Ross tho.

Where’s that template for stats? > < Though personally this was one of my mid-range schools, I’m eager to see other people’s stats and acceptances! Good luck everybody! Oh, and for U of Mich, how much does it matter that your parents graduated from there? I’ve got both of my parents as Wolverines with a Ph.D. Engineering and Masters in Music.

Note, the out-of-state admission decisions came out the day AFTER the in-state admissions decisions last year, so don’t freak out if you’re oos and don’t hear right away.

@flyingtomato, I’m not sure. Last year they came out on a Thursday, the year before that they were rolling - like, they started to become available in the end of October. So there’s really no way of knowing what they’re doing this year, I just think there’s a good chance it could be the 15th because of it being a Thursday.

However, there’s also a good chance that I’m mistaken. :P
