*Official Class of 2016 University of Michigan EA Decisions Thread*

Are you sure that person applied Early action? I am fairly certain that Ann Arbor also does rolling admission and early action. With rolling admission, the student can find out any time, but I am sure that for early action you find out by Dec 21-23

Michigan does not do rolling admission anymore, just EA and RD.

i spoke with the admissions counselor on the phone but they are known to give false information. who knows with umich really? lol. this is so stressful.

I heard that if you check your wolverine access and go under credentials, you can check to see if they require your Semester 1 grades. If it says that they do, then that means you are differed. If it doesn’t say anything, then it means that you are in, that you are rejected, or they just haven’t finished checking your application. I don’t know how true this is though.

They removed that part, but it did show that at one point.

Do you when they had showed that part?

hey this is my first time on this thread… does anyone know when we will hear back? I ask this because 2 years ago my brother applied to UMichigan before Nov. 1 and he heard back in like 3 weeks. He keeps telling me its really strange that I haven’t heard back yet. What’s the deal with that? Is Mich still rolling?

^ That’s because Michigan wasn’t on the common app and decisions were released earlier.

nondairycreamer, since we applied early action we are notified by december 23rd. it is not rolling admission

we will most likely hear between the 15-18th

on view credentials-other required application material, does everyone else have a blank row after the test category? i’ve had this on there since as long as i could remember i was just wondering.

Hm, I mine has a blank row under application materials.

No… it’s supposed to list the test scores you sent in.

UM32194. i BELIEVE this is a good thing. do not quote me on this. because that is the row where the the 7th semester grades would go if we were deferred, and since it is blank, i’m assuming that 7th semester grades are not needed and our application is completely processed.

mine is under the application material section as well, just for clarification.

I would hope so. I’ve heard that a ‘notified’ status for 7th semester grades means deferral too. But what I’m wondering is if EVERYONE who’s application has been processed and will be deferred sees this on their WA. It seems that if this were the case there would be a lot more people with the S7 grades requirement. I guess what I’m ultimately saying is its likely that it may be blank but that doesn’t necessarily mean we aren’t deferred. Although I would like to think otherwise lol :)

I don’t recall if that extra bar was there when I first opened my Wolverine Access, but I hope it’s a good sign like you guys are saying… 7-9 days couldn’t go by any slower.

i just checked, and under the Tests bar of the “Other Required Application Materials” box there is a blank bar. it is blank and even highlight-able (if thats a word lol).

so this is a good thing?

ive just been worried because i noticed a minor typo-error on my common app essay send to umich…

I noticed the same box… BTW, does anybody know if test scores sent from the November SAT that were received by Michigan two days ago will still be considered for early action?

I have that blank bar also.

I’m borderline paranoid about this. I’ve been checking my email every 3 hours since December, and logging onto Wolverine Access every night. The 16-23rd can’t come soon enough!
