I had my son’s college counselor at his high school call Michigan to make sure that his application was complete [after finding out that his transcript was missing from our state university and thus no scholarship notification]. They assured her that that application was complete and that they have been crushed with applications and that while some students have received decisions, the vast majority of decisions will be forthcoming in the next two weeks. I guess patience is in order…

Yeah, as far as I know, a lot of decisions would be coming in the next 2 weeks and they would not necessarily be “reject/waitlist”

Since many of us will hear from Ives by this Friday, I agree that loads of offers will come out in the next 2 weeks. It stinks for us who just want Big Blue!

Son received his acceptance late last night on WA. WOOHOOOO!!!

He’s a writer so his essays were great.
Other Schools: Accepted: Villanova, Miami U (OH), Univ of Iowa, Saint Louis U, Creighton, Waitlisted:Wash U and Colorado College, Rejected: Penn, Cornell and Princeton

Why he got in? Persistence and passion. Michigan was his top choice. He kept emailing admissions weekly with updates and he had a lot of great accomplishments since he applied EA last Oct, including maintaining a GPA of 4.2 during junior and senior years.

He is so thrilled to be accepted! GO BLUE!!!

Waitlisted. Good luck to everyone who got accepted.

Waitlisted.
What does that mean from here on out?

There is honestly no point in even accepting the waitlist only 1% of those who accept get in -_____-

I just got waitlisted too. Keeping fingers crossed!

Another wait list. Are colleges just wait listing instead of rejecting now? It’s like my fifth freaking waitlist

These days it’s not unusual for kids to apply to 15 and 20 schools. With those kind of numbers it’s not suprising so many are put on waitlists. Should be interesting to see if numbers taken off waitlist increases substantially this year and years to come.
