Official Class of 2017 Results Thread

<p>Seeing as the dust has settled now, here’s where the chips lie for me.</p>

<p>Accepted: Alabama, Auburn, Georgia Tech (Provost Scholarship), USC (Dean’s Scholarship), UCLA (Likely Letter), MIT, and Princeton</p>

<p>Rejected: UC Berkeley, should have turned in my application on time. And written for in depth on Berkeley’s MechEng program.</p>

<p>Came really close to putting a Michael Phelps today with them 8 gold medals in Beijing 2008, but I’ll take a solid Mark Spitz finish with 7 out of 8.</p>

Strengths: Being URM definitley helps. GPA maybe. Hard senior classes (still stressing over them :frowning: ). High SAT Writing Score (790)
Weaknesses: Low SAT math score (690), competitive school so relatively low rank, no AP scores, bad SAT IIs ( only submitted to Columbia, Harvard, Yale, and Stanford)
General Comments: I’m actually really grateful all in all. A couple kids at my school got into a whole truck load of Ivys and while I must admit that I’m a bit jealous, I’m proud of how far I’ve come and excited to start a new chapter in my life. :)</p>

<p>What is it about Williams? I met 2 young Black ladies at Yale University and both said they wish they got into Williams. I asked them and they just Williams is really nice which I thought Yale was. What is so nice that Yale students wish they were at Williams?</p>

All my four years of hard work has definitely paid off. I really didn’t think I had a chance at my top schools but I was able to get in at least one of my top 3 schools, and that’s fine with me! :slight_smile: I’m very happy and excited to start a new chapter in my life (I know it sounds cliche but I can’t describe how satisfied I am about my college decision lol)! Again congratulations to everybody and have fun in college next year! I know I will! lol :D</p>
