<p>CongratS Madabouttx-- your general comments were dead on. Your application/Essay has to reflect who you are with limits. Not what you or someone else wants you to be. Adcoms know the difference. Everyone thinks its just what your scores are and that cannot not be farther from the truth. Scores are important but once that 50% percentile box is checked. The transcript course work, and leadership come into play bigtime. You are all winners but remember to go after for your seat at the table and seized the moment. As you will noticed being just a URM will not get you in if you do not have the qualifications or do not fit the school. All these accepted students are qualified to do the work at the schools and there personalities fit the schools. Good Luck</p>

<p>Hello everybody! I want to congratulate everybody on getting accepted to great colleges! I would apply to ivy leagues but my test scores are holding be back from doing so because my highest SAT score is 1590 (including writing) and my highest ACT is 24. My GPA is pretty good, 4.35 (3.86 weighted). My highest reach schools that I applied to are UCLA, UC Berkeley, and USC (University of Southern California). My top choice is USC. I really hope I get accepted with a merit scholarship!</p>
<p>Just an update. Accepted to U of Illinois (safety) on 12/14. Found out on 12/15 that I was accepted at MIT. I’m so thrilled. It has been a great seven days. Caltech, Coca Cola Semi Finalist and now MIT. We’ll see what Harvard, Princeton and Stanford think in March. Congratulations to everyone. Class of 2017 is standing up to be heard.</p>
