** Official Class of 2017 University of Michigan EA Decisions Thread **

I suppose one of us could ask the U-M Admissions Facebook page about it, but… hm. I wonder if we’d get an answer.

Personally, I think that they will release decisions on the 21st.
Here are my reasons why:

  1. In the past, Michigan has released the Friday before the given date (dec. 24)
  2. The number of applications have exceeded pervious years (the rep for my area said around 55,000 people will be applying this year.) The 21st allows for more time for applications to be reviewed.
  3. The 21st is the last day before the admissions team goes on winter break. They won’t have to answer calls regarding decisions.
  4. It gives time for those applicants who applied ED to another school (and were accepted) time to withdraw their applications.
  5. The world is ending? Why not release UMich decisions on that day. I’m only kidding, I don’t believe that the world is actually ending (well unless I don’t get into Mich. then it is!) :open_mouth:
    This is just my $0.02.

Yeah, wait, why doesn’t someone just call and ask?

Yeah that makes sense @goblue13, but I hope they will be nice this year and release it at least a week before the 24th

So who is going to call then?

I think I’ll post on the admissions page and ask. Yeah, doing that now.

Now, are we asking specifically for an estimated release date or what? >:

Yeah a specific release date or when the “get ready” emails will be sent

Sooo…Where’s the post?

Sorry sorry, I sent them a Facebook Message instead (I can screenshot it if you want).

They haven’t responded quite yet, though.

If we don’t know by tomorrow afternoon, I’ll call when I get home from school

Yeah, no response yet… once they give me one, I’ll post it up here, but I don’t know if any of the staff are checking the page right now, or when they actually will check.

Oh gosh I’m kinda scared for this one! I’m really counting on this decision.

Not sure if this has been discussed earlier, but where else are you guys applying/have already applied?

I’ve applied to the following:
MSU - in
George Mason - in
Wayne State - in plus nearly full ride
U of M - pending

Please post the information as soon as you get it from their Facebook Message/if you call them! It would be very nice to hear what they have to say. Hopefully this week, get it over with!

I’ve applied to:

Michigan State University (in, Honors Program offer)
Eastern State University (in, Honors Program offer, nearly full ride)

But I don’t wanna GO to either of those places…

Yeah, I’ll certainly post screenshots or something once I get a response back, if I ever do.

I’ll definitely call tomorrow if there isn’t a response on Facebook by the time I get home from school tomorrow!
