** Official Class of 2017 University of Michigan EA Decisions Thread **

Wait - Flashboy, you applied to UMich and nowhere else?

Flashboy with all do respect no one should only apply to only one college, even if you’re in the top 1 Percent of the University. Start looking for some other colleges JUST IN CASE you sadly get rejected. I mean we all want onlu UMich but you have to be prepared for that “what if i get rejected question in the back of your head”

about 2.5 weeks. everytime i come on this thread i get so nervous, i dont know why. i feel like i’m investing WAY too much hope into getting accepted, i don’t know what i’ll do if i don’t get in.

I was joking I actually applied to more schools but this is just the only place that I want to go so it feels like I only applied to one haha

Alright then, I was starting to worry. :P

I’m kind of in the same boat - a few safeties, but this is the only school I WANT to go to. I kind of worry about it with my GPA and all, but… hey, I gotta try.

I’m so nervous for the decisions! Fingers crossed; UM is my top choice.

^ Agreed. I only applied to UMich and one other school (a safety) EA. If I don’t get into Michigan, I’ll have to send out a bunch more apps, so I’m hoping it works out.

@Shabang I did the exact same thing!! =P Really hope it works out for all of us at UMich =D

Anyone else wish that UMich had an ED option? ED obviously shows a lot more interest in a school…and it would help weed out those using Michigan as a safety. Less than three weeks to go until decisions are out!!

goblue13- That’s so true since I’m pretty sure there’s a huge number of applicants to Michigan that would apply ED if possible since it’s mainly the only place a lot of us want to go

I would have loved it had UMich had an ED option, at least - I know they have an issue with people aiming for the Ivies who just use it as a throwaway safety, which is just awful - it’s a fantastic school and deserves far better treatment than that. At the very least, like Golblue13 said, it’d give an edge to people who ARE legitimately interested in the school as a first choice.

Oh my god i wanna get in fdsioaupdsfdspofidsofadsfldoajiwru9031ior

:’( what your guys’ gpa/act/sat?

3.9/32 No SAT

94 (3.76/4.0 UW), 2090 SAT. I’m thinking UMich might be too much of a reach  I hope my ECs can compensate for something.

4.0 out of 5 weighted ***. 2340 sat/34 act… Kick arse ECs hopefully will compensate :p

Sent from my SPH-D600 using CC

31 ACT (33 superscored)
3.64 unweighted GPA, school does not weight GPA
I honestly cannot remember my SAT score off the top of my head ._.

To be fair, my GPA could have been higher had half the classes I took actually counted towards my High School GPA. Ah well, no excuses. It might be a bit of a reach, but I think I can make it to UMich. At least I’m instate.

Those people are absolutely infuriating. It’s so frustrating to hear someone say that they’re only applying to see if they can get in. When I talk about the campus, they tell me they’ve never been there. Gaaah

@afrojack, I agree it’s very upsetting to hear that people are only applying to Michigan to see if they can get in. I’m in state and many of my classmates are using Michigan as their safeties. People don’t realize the value of a University of Michigan education. I’m not saying it’s Harvard or anything (IMO Harvard is overrated) but UMich is pretty good. :)

Actually let me rephrase that last sentence. UMich is the best! As it is my top choice after all! Go blue!
