Happy holidays!

Also, about your second issue, it might just be because of the holidays! I didn’t get a confirmation email until a week later. However, if you’re worried, I’d call. ;)

@warcaptive - how’d it go?

Welcome to Swellesley everybody!

So nervous about EE, guys!!

Hey guys, does anyone know if there are statistically better chances of getting accepted using EE than applying RD? Like I know it’s not as good as ED, but does it boost your chances of getting an offer because it shows like you’re more interested or something like that? :)

Here are acceptance rates from last year.
ED 36%
EE 42%
RD 20%

from: http://www.wellesley.edu/sites/default/files/assets/departments/admission/pdf/admissionreport2013.pdf

those are weird numbers. they make sense, when you think of how the EE pool will be smart people who are applying to top places (and thus have already finished their apps at that time) but who aren’t committed enough to Wellesley to go ED.

very interesting stats…glad i’m doing EE.

Ahhhhhh! When are the results coming out?

FINALLY Joining this thread! The EE results come out February 24th?

So excited for everyone who has already been accepted- hopefully I can join y’all this fall <3

Just finish my EE interview. We did it over skype. The lady is really nice and gives me many suggestions about my college life. Good luck to those who applied!!

Where is everyone getting the Feb. 24 date from? And is there a time?

@kitkat522 I got the February 24th date from an email they sent me explaining the EE process, decision possibilities, ect. I think it said the decisions would be available online at 5 pm EST.

@ChloeShaw Congrats! My interviewer was really nice as well.

@kitkat552 Same, I got the info from the email they sent when after they received your application. You can get more information from the myWellesley portal!

Just wondering, how many people visited during the Discovery Wellesley weekend and what were your opinions? I’m wondering if I would have love the campus as much if I visited in the summer.

@lydiamanglin I didn’t visit during Discovery Wellesley, but visited during the summer, and I’m SOO glad I did! I wasn’t 100% sure if Wellesley was “the” school for me, but once I stepped onto the campus - WOW! I fell in love. Everything about it was perfect - pictures do not do the school justice! I also was able to talk briefly with some students who were staying at the school over the summer, and I cannot begin to express how sincere, intelligent, welcoming, and nice they were! I visited a lot of schools in the summer, but Wellesley was far and beyond THE best school I visited.

@pin3appl3 So, I’m not crazy! I knew Wellesley was truly just “that amazing” lol. I visited during the Discovery Weekend and felt the same way; I wish I could go back!

Did you visit any other sister colleges?

@lydiamanglin No, you are not crazy at all! I sometimes feel like the crazy one when I try to explain to my friends why I love Wellesley so much and how it’s my dream school! Did you visit the main office? With all of those pamphlets and the course books everywhere? Haha I really loved that part!
How was Discovery? What was offered there?

Yes! I am really looking forward to going back in September! ;)

I visited Bryn Mawr and Smith! Bryn Mawr was absolutely gorgeous too - it felt like I was on a huge mansion! How about you?

i missed the deadline for requesting interviews…can i skype?

@pin3appl3 We must be on the same wave length! People think I’ve lost my mind when I explain how much I like Wellesley. In Texas, if it isn’t a football school, it doesn’t exist :)

Yes, I visited the main office (which I liked as well) when I was at Discover Wellesley, which was an overnight “become a Wellesley student for a weekend” program; it was AMAZING. I really liked Wellesley before the program, but my experience made me fall in LOVE. We did everything from tours and visiting classes to attending club meetings and eating in various dining halls. I still keep in touch with a few of the girls I met in just those two days. I can totally see myself there… I’m in too deep <3

Additionally, I visited Smith and Mount Holyoke when I was in Massachusetts. I liked Smith so-so and Mount Holyoke was pretty, but I honestly think I didn’t like them as much because I was still blinded by my love for Wellesley. #thestruggle

@lizziepikatsonga I don’t know! Did you call the admissions office?
