** Official Class of 2018 University of Michigan EA Decisions Thread **

@BottomCat I heard that you’re not supposed to send in AP scores unless you’re actually going to the college so they can use it to determine credit (thank goodness UM counts them omq), so I just self-reported mine and thus you’re probably fine

@pillagerguy eyyy congratulations that’s fabulous at the very least you have my best wishes if UM doesn’t send you an extra thank you note for being epic

Tomorrow might be the big day guys, good luck to all of you and hope everyone here who deserves to get in gets admitted. And if you don’t get accepted it’s not the end of the world people. Have faith and good luck to you all!

Student ->new and prospective student business -> application status. When decisions are posted, you’ll have a link “view decision” next to “view credentials”. :)

Do you think the football/hoop players that are being recruited are sitting by their computers crapping a blue streak around the room waiting to see if their scores and body of academic work are considered worthy of admission?..Na…me neither!

@Wolverine14mi looks like you did the best you could with what was offered at your school. Plus if you are instate you have a really good shot.

@startwithm damn I thought I was gonna be way faster until you said the last part lmao

I’m a guy and my best was a 17:18. But I didn’t try until senior year. I was in the high 19s as a junior. I enjoyed the team more than the sport, I guess.
So, are u gonna run at UMich?

Thank you!!

@Wolverine14mi If you’re instate, your act and gpa are above average. 31 vs. 32, 3.85 vs. 3.93. You can do it, good luck!

The number of students from my school that have applied/went to Michigan in the past ten years is less than a dozen, so I’m not sure if that will help or hurt. Also not sure how coming from a low academically achieving school will affect me.

I have an athlete or two coming from my school and nah I doubt it haha

@cabooser Thanks! Good luck to you!

@bottomcat that’s fabulous–especially with that much improvement, wow nice yay! my dad’s trying to offer to pay me to run at UM as opposed to getting a job (rationale:bragging rights and that I’d have to behave) but I think I’d just play quidditch/intramural soccer and do their run club. Would you be interested in running at umich/any of the schools that you applied to?

+by ‘that last part’ did you mean my being a girl because if that means you were sarcastic about my racy neck pics I would be so hurt

I think we understate the favoritism shown to in-state applicants.

I know plenty of people who have been accepted with 27s on the ACT and 3.7 UW GPAs.

Almost midnight on the east coast…and we all know that means …NOTHING?

Might as well stay up the extra twelve minutes just in case, I guess…

@startswithm thanks. No, I was called by a couple of in-state small schools, but I’m not good enough to run anywhere I wanna go. Plus, it’s alotta work. One of my best friends runs at MSU and he has never been able to party, etc. in college because the rules on athletes in sports like XC are insane.
I’d maybe do a running club just to keep in shape and meet people, im not sure.

Of course not! I’m still anticipating the racy neck pics more than getting a decision. I don’t get to see people’s necks everyday, ya know

@startwithm…racy neck pics…omg! This is a “G” rated forum… ;););););

WOOO YEAH JCOOCH
so if you want to give a review lecture on Medieval art then that’d be fab + is anyone else considering changing to an easier school (kinesiology booyah) upon receiving a notice of deferral?

LSA or bust.
Ross4Lyfe

I’m waiting till midnight now…just in case. I doubt it’s true, but if it is then I want to know!!
