** Official Class of 2018 University of Michigan EA Decisions Thread **

Haven’t gotten any emails and my wolverine account is locked. Anyone else in the same boat?

I got my acceptance email at 1:07 PM on Friday and my LSA honors invitation email at 12:23 AM on Saturday

I am so excited I got in!! This is one of my top schools for sure!! :)

Still no email from UMich…and I made sure I had everything turned in (called the office). Did anyone else not get an email? I checked spam and everything

I still haven’t heard back from them either…

For those who haven’t heard anything yet, are you absolutely sure that all of your application materials were received by Nov 1 or earlier? Even something as silly as a delayed teacher recommendation could have easily caused you to lose EA status.

Did you guys check on wolverine access that your application is qualified for EA?

I called the admissions office and confirmed that everything was there. Not sure why I haven’t gotten anything yet. The UMichAdmissions twitter says they will “try” to get decisions out by 24th of December so does that mean they might not be done yet?

^spoolman (btw great name for a girl!), why are you concerned about your Michigan acceptance when you’ve already posted yourself above as class of '18 Yale, and you’re applying RD to brown, Columbia, duke, and I think I saw elsewhere also Harvard?

@storyweaver I’m concerned about UMich just in case my Yale financial aid package isn’t good enough. I am upper middle class and may not get a lot of financial aid. I was planning on applying to brown, columbia, and duke before I got my Yale acceptance. Not sure where you got the Harvard from…

FYI Spoolman is a last name (which girls can have too! :open_mouth: ).

In a strange and hella depressing turn of events, I got in at UChicago but deferred here. Probably didn’t help that I’m OOS and 60/84 people in my class applied. Yay!

Has anybody who applied preferred admission for Ross gotten a confirmation about PA?

@curiousgeorge99 From the Ross School of Business website: “We receive and review applications on a periodic basis from January through April, depending on the volume of applicants admitted by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. We cannot review a student’s application until they have been admitted by the university. Therefore, the majority of applicants are notified of their Preferred Admission decision in mid-April.”

Thanks, but I meant to say, have you gotten a confirmation that you’re going to be considered for preferred admission? Like an email saying that they’ve received your application or something?

Got my official letter in the mail today. Pretty cool.

My DD got admitted in COE, applied for CS/CE/EE as the order of preference.
The admission letter doesn’t say if she got admitted to the requested major. Does anyone how does this work?

She was admitted into the CoE. However, she cannot declare her major until after her first semester at U-M.

Wow, the letter actually comes with a certificate. I feel wanted :)
