I got this based on 2 years ago with the other seniors. I know 2 years ago they came around december 16 and the year before us class of 2017 got their the 14th of december.

Why on earth would they come out any other day? We don’t have any specific deadline from U of M admissions except for December 24th, and the only thing we can do is speculate when they’ll start releasing them. And to me, it seems a little unlikely that they’ll wait all the way until Friday just because sending decisions on a weekday will allegedly crash their servers. Someone before said that all the decisions have already been made and they’re just cross-checking them at this point, so why not release decisions as soon as they’re done with that?

The 16th and 14th of past years were both Fridays. If it followed that pattern we would’ve gotten ours on the 13th, this past Friday.

I mean I understand why there were speculations for Friday, but a Sunday release seems really out of the blue. I wish, just like every other college, they would tell us when decisions are coming.

^ then our decisions can come at any time now.

I remember UCLA servers crashed big time the day they released it all in one day. With that many applicants its best to separate it out.

Every time I refresh this thread, I think to myself, “I really need to get a life.” aka I spend half my day on here even though decisions aren’t coming out for God knows how long…

CRAP got an email and it was university of detroit mercy for a second i thought it was umich.

So what’s the general consensus around here?

When do you think we will find out?

Sometime before December 24th. Everything else is just a guess.

^ It can appear anytime like an ambush. Be alerted.

December 20th is seeming to be the most logical date at this point. Then again, this date hasn’t been confirmed, just speculated. It makes sense that they’d start sending them out on Friday because it would give them 4 days to send out most of the decisions. Then again, who knows. All I know is that I’m about to have an emotional Christmas…

^ I doubt it.

I think that they just stop the current trend and go midweek.

For all we know, we may be receiving these emails at 9.27 AM on Tuesday.

My feeling is the 20th. I sure hope it is, because I don’t think I can take the roller coaster of emotions that would come with getting a surprise acceptance/deferral in the middle of the week.

Yeah, I could not handle it if we got decisions the middle of next week. I’d prefer not to be an emotional wreck during finals week.

Was expecting a decision from UMich before my Cornell one, but guess not XD
25 hours until cornell

i have 31 on ACT
3.7 UW
4.3 W

am i good?

No, you’re not good… Do you really think Umich will accept you just because of a 31 and a 3.7? It’s a little more complex than that. But you do have a pretty good shot. Depends a lot on your ECs and all that subjective stuff.

The biggest problem with chancing on this thread is that it isn’t college-specific; the avg stats on LSA and kinesiology (apparently the way to sneak in) are so much lower than engineering’s 3.9 UW and ~33 ACT that it’s pretty important to denote.

Yea but engineering looks at sub scores on your act. Only math and science. So your composite can be lower than the universities average, but you can still get in if your math and science scores are high
