now what i need to be worrying is my online class for ap econ. 1 month behind and have less than 3 weeks left.

@joohyo like i said EVERYONE will find a college who they are good enough for. if come this week, u of m doesn’t think i’m good enough, then they aren’t worth my pain

RE the unweighted/weighted debate: It takes but a moment to look at a transcript and count the As and count the Bs and do the math. It does not even take a calculator and can be done in under a minute and for most people in your head without pencil and paper. It doesn’t matter one bit how a given high school grants to an A or to a B. An A is an A and a B is a B. The same goes for schools that report on a 100 scale or really any scale. You don’t need “fancy calculations” to figure it out…it’s basic math.

^ YAAAAA Battle cry!

Listen I hope you guys are right about them recalculating GPAs. Mine would be significantly higher with a recalculation because I have A-s out the gazoo. But yes I do believe the article over other sources. I think it only applies to applicants who send in weighted GPAs. There is no way they have time to recalculate 50,000 GPAs. That takes a lot of time for a “0.08 difference.”

They definitely recalculate your GPA. The admissions counselor who led the info session on the campus tour said they recalculate it and so did the counselor who made the presentation at my high school.

@potato thanks for the positivity! I regret not working harder freshman and sophmore year but i can only hope that everything else i sent in makes up for that. i hope they realize that 14/15 year olds make mistakes and that i have worked hard to make up for it

I know they do recalculate well my school does their gpa that way. so it really does not matter for Harrison students

@joohyo
Macro, micro or both? I have my final for macro on Wednesday, we’ve been doing a chapter every 3 days and I’ve crammed for every test, it’s not so bad if you’re business minded

^@dedmoroz yeah i take ap microeconomics and class ends jan 24. its an online class going on your own pace. Been slacking off due to my college course and other classes. Ill take macro after i finish micro. My schedule is a mess

wow our finals arent until the end of january. but i do have a micro test tomorrow that i should be studying for…

I wonder whats easier macro or micro? Ill take both anyways and micro is not so bad.

If they recalculate I go from a 3.68 UW to a 3.75 UW (3.9 without frosh) … I really hope you guys are right.

@JooHoo I’m in micro too. Is it through MIVU?

i take micro and macro and for me at least micro is much easier. i think its because our macro teacher is new and its her first year teaching it so she’s all over the place

One more damn week til winter break + UMI decisions, longest week of my lifeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Of course @wishfulwolverine
