@cookingmama68 would it be 2pm EST?

I mean they did send out a notification over Facebook and Twitter saying it would be at latest the 24th. Does that count as a notification?

@WishfulWolverine Why exactly would they wait if all the decisions are already made? I see no reason why they’d make us wait any longer. Plus, don’t forget that because of the volume of the applicants, it’ll take several days to release all the decisions. In the past years, they’ve released them in waves over a week or so… So they definitely cannot release all the decisions on the 24th, and even the 20th seems a little too close to the deadline. So tomorrow actually doesn’t sound that bad.

@ivanov2014 I am not fully convinced that all the decisions are fully made. They probably did not feel the need to work the weekend and rush since they already missed their “usual” deadline. I think 8,000 unexpected applications would call for more than 2 extra days (assuming they worked the weekend). I think the 20th would be fine.

How about we just all get our hopes up for tomorrow and if not, we get anxious again?

I just want to know so I can move on with my life! lol

@bond0072: just did a search to try to help you out & noticed you’ve already applied ED to Penn and RD to brown, Columbia, Harvard, bu & case western according to your post over on the penn forum, and obviously EA to Michigan. Seems to me that you have ur list & it seems sound.

Michigan is among my top choices, and may even be my first choice. Been reading on & off here but mostly off bc I have tons of work in 5 APs and I’m trying to stay focused. Good luck to all of you…hoping we all make it…and good luck to you Bond on ur Penn ED.

This stuff is making me so nervous. Good luck to all of you. I hope we can all proudly be part of the big blue nation.

im gonna say were not getting it tomorrow

after early results are released, what is the proper etiquette? Are we supposed to post like ACCEPTED/DEFERRED/REJECTED with defining statistics about each of our applications?

I’m really scared that they’re going to only accept like 20-25% of applicants early.

Thanks for your help xo

@startwithm I believe that’s the idea. There’s also another page on CC, something along the lines of “official class of 2018 university of Michigan EA decisions STATS ONLY” That would be a good place to respond to. Just remember to be sensitive and empathetic. :)

Sounds like a plan to me.

2 pm is during school for most kids, lol at my school it would be frenzy(over 100 kids apply to umich)

@benh10 I’ll be checking my email on my phone constantly

If they received my transcript a week ago, can they still put it into consideration for EA. I sent in my app on October 17 along with my old transcript. Will my new one be considered?

@headed2great I think you would need to call admissions and ask them. I don’t think people on this forum would know.

Will do. Im guessing not as my decision might have already been made, and I don’t think they can go back and change it.

how does being OOS affect my chances?

Yes, post stats only on the other thread.

@amraam didn’t you post that last night? Lol
