If in state will get deferred in EA but do good in this semester; submit by early February and show continued interest in school and I would say a good match.

love yall(;

@purplefairy96 CRYING~ how could you not get in!?!?!

@senna4ever

I’m in state… I retook the ACT last Saturday so I hope I do a bit better… If I get deferred I have to reapply?

@christine53 Your ACT might seem to be slightly low for engineering with a 29 and 29 for the two subjects that are the most directly related to studying engineering. I would say your GPA is helpful.

@lifeonthecape stats are a high match, what about EC?
@rythem06 i agree with cabooser, low reach
@christine very impressive, i’m sure you’ll be fine!
@purplefairy you’re good too!
@ccsenior14 match/high match

Aww i really hope so christine53!!! Good luck to u too, though…we all need be calm right now, for the sake of our own sanity

Thanks cabooser and potatoo

@ chrisitne53 how were your essays? Any hook?

Okay, I’ll bite if we’re doing chances.

First off, I attend a very competitive private school in state which sends quite a few kids to Michigan every year.

3.7 UW (Our school doesn’t give W GPAs)
30 ACT
12 Honors/APs/IB
Only 1 AP, most of them are honors or IB - 4 on APUSH

School Honor Council (Sort of supreme court body of school - we decided academic integrity issues with other students).
Editor of school yearbook
Varsity sailing for 3 years - Captain and state champions
Lead role in 3 dramatic productions at school, as well as student director/understudy in another

As far as essays, they were pretty solid. Could have been better, but my rush to submit as early as possible stunted that.

3 rec’s coming, as well as one from a program director at the Ross School of Business.

I’m constantly told by everyone I’m getting in no issue, even the program director at Ross. Applying LSA, obviously.

@potatoo: low reach to high match

@basedgod666: safety

@thedeltag: high match/match

GPA: 3.7/4.1
ACT 32
Captain of two varsity teams
2 other leadership things
good recs
good essays

I love how this has become a chance thread literally days before decisions come out and there is nothing anyone can do about it anymore

@yayschools: match for LSA, slightly high match for CoE

@senna4ever I don’t know what you mean by hook… sorry hahaha I had a couple of my teachers read them and they thought they were acceptable. I wrote about my mission trip and in my opinion it was good writing. My rec letters are all good. I go to a small school and my teachers really like me.

@basedgod666 AP Swag was a joke… I never did any work until the night before the test and still aced everything

Would anybody care to explain to me the process of going from LSA to Ross? Is there any direct admit… I applied and I don’t even know whats going on.

Yes you can apply pre-admit Ross or try to transfer there later on if you don’t get in pre-admit

@cabooser what do you mean by low reach/high match? like i get what each one means but theres a pretty big gap in between…

How important is leadership? Cause I have the high ACT, GPA, and I have the extracurriculars and essays, but quite honestly I could only name like 2 or 3 things that could be considered Leadership…
