My counselor told me she hasn’t heard anything from UofM and that decisions are typically sent the Friday before winter break, which would be December 20th this year.

We’re also a large public high school in south east Michigan, so doubt UM would neglect to give our administration a heads up.

I reallllly don’t want to wait another week from Friday. These past few weeks, I’ve been thinking that decisions would come out this Friday, and to have that change would be excruciating haha

2011 was Friday December 16th. 2012 was Friday December 14th I believe. Makes sense this year is the 13th

Agree with cabooser…really don’t want to wait any longer. Wish UM would just be straightforward about this, doesn’t seem like too much to ask is it?

Yeah we’ve all been tensely waiting for this Friday…having it be next Friday would be very sad

No, the University has never done that before, and I doubt they started this year. Anyways, why would it make any sense for the Michigan to tell counselors the date that applicants will hear back but not tell the applicants themselves? What purpose would that possibly achieve other than causing more rumors and confusion. It’s a non sequitur.

my counselor just responded “i know” when i said that decisions were going out this friday. im sure she didnt receive an email or anything. don’t worry.

Can someone chance me pretty please?? I’m really nervous!

Has anyone tried calling the admissions office or heard from any legitimate source about the decision release date? I worried that because of all the issues with common app it will take longer than normal. I know the admissions office extended the deadline for counselors to submit informationa and I also know they did not start reviewing anything until after November 5th. Does anyone think this will affect anything?

People have tried contacting admissions- like the screenshot above/etc. For whatever reason, admissions is being pretty tight-lipped about potential decision dates, rather just reiterating it will be at some point before December 24th (which doesn’t really ease anyone’s anxiety here lol!)

~51 hours… Do they release decisions over the weekend?

Oh gosh … you started an hour countdown. :0 I’m not ready!!

@headed2great In past years, it seems like most of the decisions have been released on Friday, with some of the decisions coming out over the weekend. If decisions are released this Friday, don’t expect all of them to be released right away.
