** Official Class of 2018 University of Michigan EA Decisions Thread **

i wonder if michigan is also scrambling because they have to factor in everyone who has recently withdrawn their application because they got into their ED school.

It just sucks because I cannot focus on anything until I hear back :/

@erindolan true that. I was so off the ball at school today because I couldn’t stop thinking about Michigan.

@startwithm I trust you more than other new members on this thread but how sure are you of this

i’m guessing that because they are releasing decisions in one wave, they will be coming out on the 24th. Otherwise, decisions could start getting released tomorrow and continue throughout the weekend- giving admissions officers more time with applications and less annoying phone calls and messages about when decisions will be released.

Drake Harris, a football recruit, just tweeted this:

Got admitted to The University Of Michigan today! Officially a student at UofM now :part_alternation_mark::part_alternation_mark::part_alternation_mark::part_alternation_mark:

Not sure if this applies to us since not too many recruited athletes…but noteworthy all the same.

This is getting interesting…

@BottomCat Absolutely.
I only applied to a few state schools, including MSU and UMich Dearborn, and also, one private school OOS. I have my heart set on UMich, so I didn’t bother applying to any other reaches.

@Wolverine14mi, Tough!
I’m in the same situation. Full ride to Wayne State with honors. Congrats! :)

Are any of you considering other schools in Michigan?

haha i just tweeted that guy asking how he got in

haha so did I @erindolan

Yeah! I’m from Michigan and my parents were not too keen on my going very far away from home :(. I am considering MSU, Calvin (private school in Grand Rapids), and Aquinas (also a private school in Grand Rapids) if I get a lot of money from their scholarship competition.

@SmartGuyJR My dad works for D1 athletics and he said that possibly he could be enrolling in January and graduating high school early? Other than that, he said that athletes usually find out at the same time.

haha he’s going to get a mass amount of tweets from all of us at CC!

@detpeace, I also applied to Michigan tech and MSU (accepted) because my parents got the MET so any in-state school is prepaid

thanks for trusting me more bro, I think I’m where the like 6 pages of people trolling started (my lord’s drycleaner is a candle maker and one of his candles said admissions will come during the next apocalypse-sort-of-thing) but I personally A. don’t think that they’ll be released in only one wave and B. think that the first wave will be released on Thursday or Friday.

My level of certainty? If the first wave isn’t by midnight Friday I’ll post a pic with ‘sorry’ written on my neck in some colored sharpie

I searched his twitter and all I see is a few people asking him about how he got in lmao you guys are crazy

How about a tattoo instead

I’m more excited for the racy neck picks than for the admission decisions

Yea drake harris is starting at uofm in january

@BottomCat why just neck pix you are also an xc captain we are soulm8z

To be relevant, uh, I think you’ll get into LSA but probably not pre-admit to ross sry

hey guys, i just talked to an admissions counselor online and she said:

“Decisions do not come out in waves. However, we have thousands of decisions to send out so not everyone will get theirs on the same day and time. I hope this helps.”

So sounds like they plan on having more than one day?
