Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected:
Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected:
Accepted: Marquette, Tennessee, Virginia, Michigan, Vanderbilt (CV Scholar & College Scholar), Stanford
Waitlisted: UChicago, Dartmouth, WashU, Harvard
Rejected: Northwestern, Brown, Columbia, UPenn, Yale, Princeton, Duke

General Comments: Just can’t believe it. Stanford was my best app, but man I never expected to get into my top school and not get into so many others.

Nothing like sitting in the Michigan Union waiting for a decision -.-

Still haven’t heard anything and I applied Nov. 15? Do decisions come later for college of engineering?

my son hasn’t heard either…it seems there are a few of you still out there who have not heard. And he’s not an engineering student…he applied Nov. 1

This is the 7th disappointing decision within 3 days… do you think applying 1/29 was too late and contributed to me being waitlisted? Unweighted GPA 3.9, ACT 33, SAT 2220. I don’t know what to do with myself anymore.

Applying late certainly does not help you, in fact it looks pretty bad. Seniors have all fall to apply to the colleges that they want to go to. For someone to wait a few days before the final deadline to apply, it shows a lack of interest. The admissions office most likely viewed you as a student using umich as a backup with little intention of enrolling. Another thing to consider, many universities have a rough number of acceptances they will award. When they get to the last few thousand applications, generally the number of acceptances will be limited causing the admissions office to be more critical and only accept students who are well qualified and very interested.
I am sorry you did not get the decision you wanted. I wish you the best of luck to you wherever you are going! If you are truly interested in attending the UofM, you should definitely explore the transfer process.

Waitlisted - 2290 SAT (760W, 770M, 760CR), 770M1, 760Chem. 4.0UW - no APs (very small suburban school, 6 classmates, figured out that you could take AP tests separately earlier this year, never told otherwise, filled with regret.)

Did you guys get an email?
I tried going on wolverine access but apparently i need umich ID… Any idea?
Lol prob got rejected anyways why do i try
Wanna die these days frankly speaking

@Jyp1223 I never got an email and I was wait listed. The UMID was given in the first email sent right after submitting the app. You should try searching your inbox.
And yeah, I feel the same.

Perhaps you only get an email if you got accepted?

I never got the email but checked the wolverine access portal today and saw that I was waitlisted. I applied EA and was deferred and now wait listed. I’m a white female from Florida with a 30 ACT and 5.01 weighted GPA. I didn’t accept the waitlist because I will be going to University of Wisconsin next year and have already found a roommate …good luck everyone else! Wherever you end up going next year will be the right place for you! Keep faith
